I looked back at what MMC had shown for Grimlock and it was not good. I know it was VERY early, but just looking at the tiny bot mode hands and the horrible gap with dino neck articulation I have no need of it, at least as shown.

Well, Planet X has produced my favorite Grimlock so far with FoC Vulcan, so this certainly has my attention.

"Primus knows it’ll be better than MMC’s version from the neck down" that was the comment I was replying too in my original post. I was simply saying just because its Planet-x doesn't mean its going to be better then MMC. So I was saying my opinion on the two companies before you and the other guy responded so I responded back. But you're saying I ask for deals on stuff? Can you show me one time I've ever asked anyone on here for deals, I buy my stuff just like everyone else on here( usally from chosen prime) so get you're facts straight, And troll you respond negatively to every MMC thread but I'm the troll gtfoh.

I hope if this is indeed coming they make it a good size like they have with kadmos and ismenios, that way it will fit with what Planet-X,MMC and even hasbro/takara have released of idw characters.

I don't think Trux is ever coming out period. The design was originally leaked so MMC showed it before they even finalized the design. Trux allegedly doesnt look like the image we've seen anymore. Regardless it was only ever at a design step, no molds or anything.

I don’t bend over backwards for any one company. I have many many many many MMC products. But that doesn’t mean others haven’t or can’t do better.

SXS’ Rodimus is much better than MMC’s. Not only is he more accurate, he has a actual neck. MMC’s version looks like he’s on steroids, has inaccurate claws, and his head sits between his shoulders.

PX’s Deathsarus is more accurate than MMC’s as well. I am sure Byrin or RVDA could make a better head sculpt than them, but everything else is on point.

MMC's Rodimus transforms into an accurate alt mode, while SXS turns into a pile of junk. Theres pros and cons for both. I prefer what looks best in both modes. But you're right, Planet X's Deathsaurus is wayyy more accurate to the source material than MMC's. I think their Grimlock is gonna be awesome, just like Vulcan.

Eh, Deathsaurus' headsculpt is a bit basic, it lacks the correct shaping.

If the design allows for it, I'm sure they will. But when you have a company that mostly did designs that can't have dynamic posing because of the design, you unfortunately get the narrative that they can't make anything dynamic.

Here are my hopes for this figure.
    - Sharper sculpting; Ismenios has a sharply sculpted face, but the rest of him is very blunt.
    - Better tolerances; Ismenios is worrisome to transform, his tail is extremely tight when fully tabbed in.
    - Better material placements; the inner frame of this guy should be made from diecast, as well as any major jounts.
    - Darker paint, and more of it; Ismenios has good paint, but it's much too pale and far too sparce.
    - More complexity; none of PX's figures seem to be very complex, but complexity for complexity's sake isn't good, their figure need more moving parts to insure more natural posability.

overall their deathsaurus is pretty spot on to IDW's design. The head sculpt isnt perfect but its a good IDW representation.

As someone who works for MMC, it's bad news that we're getting competition on one of our figures.

As someone who has MTMTE Grimlock as prooobably his favorite iteration design wise of the character, and who wasn't really satisfied with our own take on it? It has me rather excited.

So yeah, professional vs personal interests. :lol
