It's amazing all the little things you regularly do to make it more accurate to the original scene.
I fear for your sanity the day you try to recreate this scene... ;)

The loose hips (front to back articulation, I assume? Sideways is usually fine) are pretty easy to fix. Just open up the waist and thighs to get at the hip joints, and then use a set of pliers to push the rivets in a little further. Wrap the parts in paper towel so you don't put teeth marks in the plastic.

Can't tell you about the waist, mine was fine in that regard.

Still my 2nd favorite figure from last year (the 1st being Optimus). So much fun to transform and pose and I really think he looks great.

    Well done, sir! Well done.

Most of my attention’s been on Hound this past month but I’ve been on a Bumblebee kick all morning. Still my second favorite from ‘19 and probably my third overall behind Optimus and Megatron.

I opened up the waist and used a soldering iron to heat up the pins on the mushroom peg to push it in a little further. While I let the plastic cool, I put a little future polish around the waist peg and put it all back together. It's perfect now, and he can hold poses without any floppiness. This little guy is so awesome and fun to pose. He fits in with the big boys in a way I just didn't expect, and I'm really glad I picked him up.

Thanks! The attempt was partly inspired by the great sequence you did of Hound and Bumblebee transforming at Prime's behest, which I love. He really is a fun figure - my subjective number one, if not objectively the best of my MPs (he's pretty close even there, though).

Oh, wow, thanks! I had actually intended to make a gif of it, which is why I lined up all the shots, but then when I exported the frames I didn't think it would look that great as a gif because the angles change quite a bit. It works a lot better than I thought, though! (I do wish I knew @OptimusTimelord's secret to getting all the angles lined up perfectly in each shot.)

Really humbled - thanks for saying that, Ambi! For me the only knocks against this release are the heels, limited waist, and price, but I feel everything else was a real step up from 21, backpack included. I wish fans who have the impression that MPs are currently too fragile and complicated would give 45 a shot. Very durable figure and his transform's fairly quick and a lot of fun. Really has me wanting more minibots - bring on Cliffjumper and Brawn!

I really don’t get all the controversy and angst surrounding this figure. He’s a fantastic figure and a huge upgrade from the previous MP Bee in just about every way.

Other than a few paint chips, which I still hate but have resigned myself to accepting with this (wrong) push towards all fully painting figures, I really have nothing bad to say about him. He’s great.

Very happy with my MP-45 so far, an amazing little figure and such an improvement to mp-21 IMHO. Never understood the exagerated critics.

My copy is nearly perfect besides the loose hips (going to try the fix). Transformation to robot mode was fun & easy but I haven't transformed it back to car mode, hope it will be fine. Any advice or best video for this guys ? :)
My wife says it's the most impressive transformer in the collection, the way he compresses, the articulation, the cuteness ...

I'm really afraid to break if I push this in. I've tried so far but it doesn't close the gap

You've heated the pins as suggested?

I suspect that they aren't hot enough to allow it to move easily then, the idea is the metal warms the surrounding plastic just enough to allow additional movement.
Others with more experience than me should be able to confirm or deny that. Particularly those who have done this mod, as I haven't got round to mine yet

I just don’t know if I have the energy to try to fix this thing. I’ve been on a solid run of good versions of figures, I feel like that’s changed.
