The laser effects come with the New Age Coneheads.

The explosions are a Bandai Figure Rise Effect (Orange Burst) kit and the big purple blast is from FT Sovereign.

Anybody looking for a NewAge Bumblebee? Mine has a little bit of paint wear on his right hand and a little bit of future added to the gun, but other than that, he is in great shape

Taken with my phone so the photo is not fantastic but I had a few new figures show up today. Funny enough I ordered IF Cliffjumper and then I decided I wanted more IF. Previously I had mainly gotten the ones that I felt were close enough for me to their G1 counterparts. I'm not super attached to IDW. But I like their style enough that I decided I better round up some of the ones I liked before they were all marked up beyond my interest level (see the Racing Bros - sigh).

Cliffjumper hasn't shown up yet but he's got more friends waiting to see him when he gets here.

Really fun figures. I had watched videos so I was sort of familiar with their transformations but mostly I'd say they are fairly intuitive. The only one I had to consult the instructions for was hound. Those feet are clever once you figure it out but I was not figuring it out on my own. LOL

They look great, man. Nice additions.

When I first got into Legends, Iron Factory was my first stop. Unfortunately, the cost of the figures was too prohibitive for starting a new collection. There are those figures of theirs that I really do like the look of (I'm looking at you, fembots), but I can't justify paying the mark up. I did grab Slipstream when she was $18.00, though!

Thanks! I have several already that I've bought along the way. Mirage and Wheeljack are more, for instance, are close enough for me to their G1 counterparts that I don't know if I'll get them when MST gets to them. Maybe but only if I'm bowled over by them. Skyfire/Jetfire/Cygnus was one of my first Legends figures but mainly because he works for me for Skyfire. However I will totally get an actual Skyfire if someone does a Legends style/scale one that gets the toon look and looks decent. Nothing against the figure as I like it but it's not (and not meant to be) Toon Skyfire.

I also have Megatron. The only knock I have for him is his scale is a little off with MST Optimus. Not that they were meant to go together but IF Megatron would otherwise be perfect for me. I don't care for the G1 gun mode for Megatron. I never had the original toy. It's not a gun thing is that it's not a dynamic toy. My first Megatron was the G2 tank version and I think that's why I just prefer Megs as a Tank even if it doesn't fit the G1 cartoon mythos. I'm on the fence as to whether I am getting a G1 Megatron. I will see what MST does. NewAge isn't bad but not good enough to dethrone the one I have, either.

The only other IF figure I have is Scorponok. But I have a few KOs - the Pocket Toys Combaticons, the MFT OS Shockwave, and the OS Overlord.

So, my IF collection sort of happened without me realizing it was happening. LOL It does make me wish for some of the ones that passed by but unless a good deal lands in my lap or they decide to re-release them, then they are just gone.

I do love Cygnus. He was one of the first Legends figures I'd ever seen and I came VERY close to pulling the trigger on him. Now, I wait in the shadows for MFT to finally make a KO. ;)

Cygnus and NewAge Bee were among my first. They sort of started this scale for me. I’m a sucker for the Skyfire/Jetfire figure. If MFT do OS I’d definitely be tempted.

I bought DX9 KO Coneheads and later Cygnus to be “flying” in alt mode in the background of my masterpiece display. Then I got HS prime when he came out, and that triggered me to go all in (I replaced him with mst prime since then).

Here's my grey one with the MFT Power Loader Mech.

So damn cool. Especially seeing as the original series 1 black one is stupid expensive.. like $25-$50 on ebay. The grey is close enough to original/plain for me.

They're sold in egg shaped blind packs. Three different sets of two: a red/dark-green (78), glow-in-the-dark/bright-green (77 ) and orange/grey (76). You also get a couple little face-huggers. The pieces are in a packet of slime that you have to open up, pour out, and dig them out of before assembling them.

Mega Construx Xenomorph Egg (Blind Pack) | Mattel

If you want the grey one that I got, look at the bottom of the egg for a product code molded into the plastic that ends in 76.

Just checked Brickseek. Looks like they've got 6 in stock. The good thing about living in a small town is it's likely those 6 will be there when I get there.

Funny how that happens. I have a handful of MP but mostly characters I just really liked. Nothing approaching a collection. I didn’t plan on having this many figures at any scale but they’re kind of addictive. Ha!
