I thought that's what studio series was trying to do. I'm only looking forward to a few figures and I only want a few other of the figures that have already come out because of what they come with. For example I want Studio series drift that came with the baby Dinobots. I also want Studio series Shockwave because he comes with brains wheelie and a paratrooper. Also the arcee chroma and elieta¹ ss figures. 3 Scout class bikes for the price of a deluxe is nice.

Anyway here's some pictures of most of my Autobot movie collection. I transformed them into vehicle modes to compare the scales have everybody with thunder Commander from W J toys. He's slightly smaller than blue circus Optimus Prime but the same size in robot mode. I have him displayed with some trailers from New Bright. 20191110_113330.jpg 20191110_113317.jpg 20191110_113220.jpg 20191110_113157.jpg 20191110_113113.jpg 20191110_113110.jpg 20191110_113108.jpg 20191110_113105.jpg 20191110_113101.jpg 20191110_113051.jpg 20191110_112536.jpg 20191110_112533.jpg 20191110_112524.jpg 20191110_112407.jpg 20191110_112403.jpg 20191110_112337.jpg 20191110_112328.jpg 20191110_112315.jpg 20191110_112226.jpg 20191110_112043.jpg 20191110_112023.jpg 20191110_112019.jpg 20191110_112016.jpg 20191110_112011.jpg 20191110_111959.jpg

OK can we talk about how beautiful the scaling in DOTM's Cyberverse line is? Like, these guys are smaller than even the smallest SS figure yet (SS-18) yet manage to replicate the scale of their bigger brothers just as well.

I think scale was one of the reasons Cyberverse Bee, Sideswipe, and every other car minus Soundwave ended up shorter (smaller too? debatable since I own none) than HFTD, ROTF and 2007 Legends. Of which had AWFUL scaling *cough*Jazz*cough*. Not to mention horrendously inaccurate sculpts like Optimus, Ironhide, and Ratchet.

Too bad we never got to see Legends Wheeljack, Dino, and everyone else post-AOE. I would've killed to see a Cyberverse Lockdown.

Anyone else interested in an old ROTF Legends-sized Cyberverse revival line? Like as a budget-friendly alternative to Studio Series? I still yearn to see a Scout Ratchet, a properly licensed Sideways and a properly scaled Jazz. Someday...

With the popularity of IDW and G1 inspired Masterpiece Legends scale lines I believe that's only the next step for there to be a masterpiece third party Legends scale series of figures. If not soon eventually

Really like how SS Soundwave is literally almost the same size as DOTM Soundwave in vehicle mode (if my eyes are correct he might be 1-2 scalepoints smaller, I'm talking about 1:35 (DOTM) v 1:37 (SS)). So not quite as big as Lockdown (1:32) and most DOTM-AOE-TLK era Car Deluxes (1:35), but still not exactly 1:39 like SS Car Deluxes.

@erwinsims what are your thoughts on this? Is the scale difference enough to turn you away from buying him?

Can someone post pics of MPM Ironhide with Wei Jiang OS AOE Hound on both modes please?

I checked this thread and the only pics I could find did not seem to include MPM IH. Thanks!

I just got Wei Jiang’s brilliant OS AoE Hound, and thought TF Dream Factory Bonecrusher would be a good opponent. At first I thought BC was way too big, but after some research, they are actually pretty close. The Buffalo MPCV is truly a gigantic machine- 13 feet tall. The Oshkosh FMTV is about 9.25 feet:

    Bonecrusher: 13ft H, 8.5ft W, 27ft L
    Hound: 9.3ft H, 8ft W, 22ft L

A person of about average height comes up to about the bottom of the windshield on the Oshkosh, and about to the peak of the front fender on the Buffalo. These two landmarks do line up pretty well on these two toys.

Both vehicles are about 8 feet wide, and both toys are about the same width

Very roughly speaking, this Bonecrusher mold is about 1/36th scale, and Hound is 1/40th. These are based on the width and height of the toys; I didn't use the length because Hound is a customized Oshkosh vehicle and I couldn't find a real one to get the length from.

So not quite as close as I first thought, but still close.

I was starting to think if I should change something in my collection....
I wanted at the beginning all my cars and truck in mpm scale (so 1:30, more or less) so I got MPM03 and 05, BMB Sideswipe and WJ m01 and Black Apple Optimus.
But now with all the new Ko and 3rd party offers coming out I´m not sure anymore (I think about BMB Jetfire, Devil Saviour Devastator, and also some older figures like DF Bonecrusher and UT Challenger). Should I sell my Optimi and buy the MPM or Legendary Toys, so that I have 1:30 for cars and 1:35 for trucks? I´m really tempted by now... Also because the G1s Masterpieces are growing in me and that´s how they scale....
My fear is that if I remain on the 1:30 I will never get some characters that are now available in 1:35...
What shoul I do? Decisions decisions!!

If u're looking for the proper Ironhide to display with M01 you should check 2007 voyager one.

Sorry for the late reply. Just got BMB Ironhide a few days ago even though I ordered him in January.

They don't scale together. Honestly Starscream is too small for even original sized MPM bots... but I'm able to fudge it for the camera.
