I can't wait for the official copies to be valued around the same price as the inevitable knockoff Mp-47s! I feel bad for those who bought Mp-47, and were expecting to fondle Hound like Fanstoys Willis, but people need to learn to be warier of Takara's Quality Control in the near future, or else we'll end up giving Takara the right money for the wrong reasons. As if the past year for Masterpiece quality control wasn't enough for us to learn the hard way, all of us should take a step back before pre-ordering the next batch of Masterpieces. We're not required to buy them immediately, other than a handful of youtube reviewers, so we shouldn't expect to be disappointed in their products if we never generate this type of hype in the first place. Regardless, why should we have to settle anymore from having to accept these higher prices from Takara for our community, and most importantly ourselves?

And this is exactly why I returned him, and will not buy another, even at a discount.

We simply don’t although it is easy to asume they are.

I’d be surprised if they acknowledge this at all TBH. Did they say anything in regards of Car Robots’s Convoy/Magnus?

@HolyCulture are you able to shed more light?

I'm guessing this started with Prime(or maybe earlier) and Hound was the final straw

    AJP refund just processed!!!

Now waiting for the shipping fee to be refunded.

The other thing is that the last 3 releases were discounted even more a number of weeks after release, so why not wait? If it's good, we get it at a cheaper price. That has to be a win.

Prime was China. Hound is Vietnam. Hound says China on the box, but it was actually manufactured in Vietnam like Phamduc said. Hound was assembled in China. So the QC is fully on one of the Vietnamese factories.
It's just hearsay from a few people that TT is angry. I don't really know anything more than someone telling me that TT is angry and will move factories. I mean it sounds pretty on the nose right? If a factory put out a MAJOR error with a once-a-year G1 season 1 character they should face repercussions. And halting future business and severing contracts is the way to go.

So I asked Nippon-Yasan what is causing the shipping delay for Hound for myself and many other customers since it has been marked as being in shipment preparation for over two weeks. I also asked when it will ship. This is their non-response:
    --------‐-‐------
    Hello

    Thank you for your message

We apologize for the inconvenience. The stock of MP47 is under the process of preparation. We will be able to send your parcel soon after the preparation. Thank you for your kind patience.

    Kind Regards

So the Vietnam factory screwed up 2 Mps, getting progressively worse with the screw-ups, safe to say TY would be a tad bit agitated.

That's not encouraging. I went back through my orders and it normally only takes up to a week to move from shipment preparation to shipped. Once last year it took 11 days but in this case it's already been 16 days. I've been patient considering they were closed over Christmas and New Years.

Also their English phone number is just giving an automated message in Japanese and then hanging up.

I'll give it another week then get more assertive with them.

For anyone who ordered from Nippon-Yasan, could it be that their “process of preparation “ is just a poor translation/language barrier issue meaning that they’re going through their stock and performing their own QC to look for good and bad ones before shipping them out? The lack of clear explanation definitely sucks, but I can see where that might be what they mean and it would also explain the abnormal delay.

I'm afraid not. When I ordered MP-44 from them it took a long time in that status too. They're really slow. Not adhering to any schedule. It's why when you look at their FAQ section, a lot of it has to do with disputes and them locking your account.

I gave up with them, lack of transparency as to what is actually going on and no clear information to when shipping will happen. Saw on FB that a lot of other people are having similar issues! Ordered one from AJP on Friday, came yesterday! Cheaper than NY too! Touch wood, no issues so far with him!

As mentionned before, I had a paypal dispute with them for mp-45 which I won. They closed my account but I already had mp-46/47 pre ordered. "This order is still being prepared" ... and I'm about to start a new dispute.

I think their problem is that they accept orders whether they have stock or not

I opened a PayPal dispute Monday.. Definitely won't be using them again after this.. Thankfully there are a lot of other alternatives!

What was the dispute over 45 if you don't mind me asking?

They do that. Accept despite not having enough stocks. Or jsck up the price of pre order after the so called PO stock get consumed.

I've been hearing so not so nice stories in Macross forums.

Are you over the 6 month Paypal protection period? Do they still let you open a dispute?
