From Shockwave Lab Weibo a new LED kit. Easy to install but it need you to disassemble the right arm. Not difficult since there are just 2 screws.

These guys must have a surplus of led lights that they desperately want to get rid of.

No. I'm not a fan of LED's or the quality of this group's offerings. I have their hands for Overlord and they're not good.
The missed opportunity of making the opening 5mm to make it compatible with Siege effects is pretty glaring as well.

If someone else does a new left hand and arm blade, I'd consider it. Unfortunately, the stock hand is secured by a pin, a flat head pin and a screw. Replacing it would be a task, and replacing the entire forearm would be difficult because of how awesome the stock paint is and would be super difficult to emulate/reproduce.

Wouldn’t call this “easy” to install if it involves taking apart a stock piece on your figure.

I just got one of their newer LED kits, which has the same problem as all their other kits: the LEDs are bare and blinding. In this kit, they would have enough room to install a resistor to tone down the brightness level but I don’t see one.

An easy mod, which I have done on some of their LED kits, is to cover the LED with white electrical tape. Tones down brightness and enough light will still show through.

I could do without an LED kit. But a kit to change the rubbery left hand for one that's proper hard plastic and make the cannon arm less squishy? Yes, please!

DNA Design, get on that, please!

    Are these still rubber?
If so, cool, but I would rather invest in hard plastic parts.

Cool concept, but I hope DNA does a full kit with new right hand, and new blade as well.

Ill never understand the point of these LED kits. Ever since the dreaded Armada Unicron light up hand, the majority of collectors in general oppose LED gimmicks. Do they look cool if done right ? Yes they do. Do I need it ? Nope.

I wonder how easy this would be to convert into a cannon to be used by other figures. I don\'t plan on getting Shockwave, but it might be a cool general cannon for a character...

I think Unicron's is a pretty extreme example, since that clear hand gimmick (for me, at least) is a major, visible detriment to the mold that takes away from the overall look. I see it more as the light up eyes in MP Optimus Primal, or the lights and sounds of older (but more recent than Unicron) leader/supreme class figures, like Cybertron Optimus Prime or Metroplex. They're not too intrusive, but they're pretty unnecessary at the same time.

Ive never been a fan of lights because even when theyre not obtrusive, they are unnecessary for display on a shelf. I guess the people who like to take pictures will enjoy this.

I picked up a third party Devastator with a light-up eye gimmick recently, and I was giddy with it. I like to play with my Transformers on occasion, so having him be able to light up his eyes, even for just a little bit, is just an extra bit of fun with the figure. Most of the time, his eyes are off, but I'm not complaining that it's there.

That said, I don't necessarily feel the need to spend extra to add the feature to most of my toys.

This is kinda what I’m hoping and waiting for. I just want the rubber pieces replaced.
Sucks to hear about their quality though, I was looking into getting their Blackout hands

So to you, they’re not worth whatever $15 plus shipping they’re priced at on eBay? Because if not, I’ll just forget them and let Blackout have his piano hands
