Yeah, I hear you. Arguably he's not right for ANYONE's MP collection as MP/3P MPs generally preserve some of the gimmickry. Maybe if he housed a little inner robot or something. I sit him with my IDW Antagonist MP-scale shelf, where he used to hang out with GOD Garatron before I sold that beast to a board member.

Ida know, there's just something about a skeletal-robot samurai:

    dnas gun and sword bcb.jpg
    dnas iai bcb.jpg
    dnas 2hand bcb.jpg
Truth be told, I've had him for years, and I've just never gotten around to posing him all that much. He's definitely very finnicky, but he does look pretty awesome when you get him looking right.

    Sorry, just a few more:

    dnas drawhold bcb.jpg
    dnas drawscab bcb.jpg
    dnas 2dag bcb.jpg
    dna sniper bcb.jpg
    dna cannon holder bcb.jpg
    dnas kneel bcb.jpg
    dnas halfslice bcb.jpg
What I've come to like about him is that his armor does make him seem kinda bulky, but it belies a certain dexterity, and its just very fitting. Like even though he's heavily armored, it doesn't impair his movement in any way and he can still quickly slice you six ways to Sunday.

Those decals are from Toyhax. I just bought them lol. My figure is pretty tight and I have not had any issues so far.

It is. I like it because it makes his armor panels seem more samurai like and add some cool details to the tank mode. And its not as busy as some of their other sets, where sometimes they have a sticker in an empty space just because they can. The only minor issue I have with it is they have gold stickers for his fingertips, and his fingers are just too small and thin to apply them well. But I think they're extraneous anyways, so no big loss.

Yeah, I like that it fills in the flat orange armour to give it more depth.

I'm still waiting on a Bludgeon that looks like this, and a huge plus if it's snap-on armor of some kind with his other form underneath.

I'm frankly baffled this has not been attempted yet.

My first transformation of the weathered version : arm panels popped off, back plate that flips down over the rear popped off and wont stay together, successfully connected all the treads but gave up on tabbing the top together.

    Looks awesome though

My experience with the clean version wasn't better (you can see my unboxing and review video on my YouTube page). At least you didn't have anything break on you. It's too bad. It IS an awesome-looking bot. Shame. o_O

Well heck. I picked up what i thought was a decent deal on a new Arashi & was intending to get Susanoo since i had an original Bludgeon pretender. Right out of the box Arashi is a a floppy mess & i'm totally not impressed. Wobbles a bit everywhere, friction joints are loose, turret constantly pops off his back while i'm handling him,

He's going to end up a back corner shelf-warmer & forget about wasting money on the Bludgeon. Damn shame, cause i totally would have purchased both if DNA D had simply done a better job. If he feels like this i wonder how bad Bludgeon was that they had to include some replacement joints for him w/ Arashi

It’s really a true shame these two weren’t top tier because the design and aesthetic is amazing. I had both for a while. and honestly they’re just really meant to be looked at, sucks I couldn’t handle them without them exploding. I especially liked the look of weathered edition of Bludgeon more than the original they put out too but couldn’t bring myself to pay up for it a third time because I’d hoped Arashi would have fixed the mold problems.

Does the weathered version come with the alternate face? I heard somewhere that the more skeletal face was a limited release.

It comes with an alternate face.

I don't remember if this was the alt face or the one that he comes with.

The grimace is the alternate face in first production run, the open mouth is the stock one you’ll get buying a later batch.

I really need to take a paint brush and finish painting the toe strap on each of his Geta. They managed to just leave the entire foot orange.

This thing is fiddly as hell but I still love it. I'm mainly a 'display' guy and it's beautiful and to me is a classic example of something belonging in my MP collection because it doesn't slavishly ape the source material... this is what Bludgeon should look like. I rock the skull like alternate head and it's front and center on one of my Detolf shelves.

Got mine today and transformed him back and forth a few times. Trying to pose him and I might as well be trying to sculpt water. What an awful floppy mess. Everything is in contact with everything else all the time. Nothing pegs in securely and nearly all joints are floppy. The joints that aren't floppy are his shoulders which are WAY too tight. What a mess.

Update: While removing one of the rocket pods from the turret its hinge broke off. What a waste of money. MVIMG_20200823_173752.jpg
