Please don't tell me that you aren't unfolding the heels...

He is extremely stable and can be placed in a lot of positions.

Nothing meant by that, sometimes one can miss a unfolding part.. I know i missed the "knee" for OP that reveals that 5mm port for a long time

But you stated" They do not stand or balance well."

Here's a picture I just took.. that is far from what you're saying.

I'm not as wowed by Ss38 Bumblebee Optimus as everyone else is. Yeah he looks good but without a Megatron to stand against he is just meh. It's why I've passed up on him.

Hoist honestly looks kinda derpy. They tried to match the original toy too well, including the “pot belly” and those obnoxious arm panels. They could have at least put those on hinges so they didn’t move with the arm, like CHUG Grapple and Inferno.

In my opinion, Earthrise Moist doesn't look "derpy" enough! They left out his "pantaloon-style" legs.

Now what I came here to post: Please...Burn all of those stupid, ugly, shelf-clogging big-head things with fire and bury them in the deepest hole you can dig!!!
I wouldn't even complain except I keep going into stores that have shelf after shelf of the stupid things leaving little room for toys that might actually be worth buying!

The original Hoist looks like a watermelon on twigs, lol. He’s up there with G1 Wheeljack for “goofiest proportions” in G1

Funko Pops? I hate those things too, but that’s for another thread...

I like Funkos! Thought they were terrible until I got Jack Burton cheap... now I've got hundreds of them! And the Batman and MOTU ones they just announced? I exclaimed loudly. Thankfully I was in my own kitchen lol

And anyway, they'll be keeping all the Hoists company soon!

I dunno if it's an unpopular opinion, but I like Siege Soundblaster better than Soundwave.

I just like the colors better. The red eye light-piping helps, too.

I like Soundblaster's colours, but I don't like how disproportionate the extended chest seems on that toy.

That's kind of apples to oranges, though, yeah?

I'd say that's close enough a comparison to warrant discussion. Both figures of the same design by a similar cast of designers, with the joint HasTak production. ROTF leader > et al tho

Yeah, but the the Studio Series is also a mass market release at a much lower price point, with a less complex transformation, and lower parts count, paint, and detail. I would say the RotF Leader would be a more applicable comparison.

As an outside observer I think it's safe to say that Takara's fixation with absolute animation model accuracy for G1 Masterpieces is just not worth it with how compromised they're becoming.

Literally the ONLY time Funko Pops look any good is when a character's design means they have to forgo the standard beady-eyed, expressionless cube-head look so that it actually looks like a proper caricature. Also I find it hilarious that there are serious Pop fans whose response to Funko announcing a line of proper articulated action figures was this:

Anything that covers the eyes to any degree, like Aizawa from My Hero Academia and any MIV figure with shades. Also characters that wear the black beady eyes well like their upcoming The Child
