May I present my 4th TF purchase of the year... Cyberverse One Step Whirl... who has unceremoniously taken the spot of 'my favourite One Step' from TF:RID Blurr in a series of explosions and general buffoonery. Look! He's a cute widdle helicopter! And then in One (actually four steps) he becomes this. I have to admit being totally intrigued by the package diagram thinking, how the fuck does it go from that to that? And honestly, it's plain magic on this one. the steps are; i) Fold the cockpit down ii) Unfold the feet iii) Fold the rotors together iv) fold the tail section up I mean... how? It's extremely clever. You also slide the lever down on his left arm and his claws open up... but this is an attack feature of something so does it count as part of the transformation? I don't think so. Also check out his noggin! Unibrow ahoy! Also look carefully at his right arm... notice anything? Yeah, Hasbro stuck a piece of plastic to get rid of the hollow bit. MADNESS. Maybe I shouldn't have called him 'cute'. He looks angry,
that looks awesome. I'm gonna have to keep my eyes open for this one. Wish theyd do a deluxe of this design
There's a CV Whirl? He's soo cute and for some reason he's kinda giving off a Plankton vibe. Congrats Tikgnat
Anyone else hoping they do a proper Deluxe (the build a Maccadam Figures in the Deluxe Scale) of that?
I saw and picked up this little guy (on sale to boot) and honestly, I find myself really loving him. I decided to get him mostly to fill in the neo-classic lineup and not wanting to spend a lot and this little guy delivers in spades. Fun transformation, good enough articulation (really, ball jointed hips and I wouldn't ask for anything more), and looks nicely G1 but more. Considering he only cost me 35% of a current Deluxe, the value for the money is through the roof IMHO. The only thing I wonder about is that on mine, the left shoulder (pincer arm), doesn't seem to fold all the way out. I don't know if it's the spring, or an alignment issue I don't see, but it's just not quite there. No dealbreaker, not even a flaw really IMHO, since he does have some shoulder swing anyway, even if it is spring loaded return, so I don't really care, but it's a little odd.
He is so cool. I do not collect OSC... for myself at least (I got some from AOE and TLK as toys when friends come along with their kids). But I could not resist him when I saw him in the store.
After humming and hawing for a while, I snagged him at Rite Aid. I can't help but like him. Despite not being very familiar with him, other then hearing that he's an obnoxious smart-ass. I like his alt-mode. I wish they'd bring CV Ramjet there.
