they are add on parts some people have made to make Superion better represent the toon version, with a chest piece, shin covers, feet, head, etc.

 

I'm holding out to see if XTB's next combiner (supposedly to be revealed in June) is a Superion, otherwise I'll go ahead and get this and the toon add on pieces (who's making them again?). Question is if I wait that long am I likely to miss out on Zeta Superitron altogether, or pay a considerable late tax?

 

@ShadowOfSilver makes the set. Pics of them are in the thread as well as there is a thread specifically for his sets.

 

@TigerBlade makes one too, for UK based folk. Chest plate and shin covers. I posted a photo earlier in the thread, a page or two back

Edit: also, 6 months is a long time. You may well face lateness tax on this. Bruticon is still available after 9 months, so perhaps you won't.

For what it's worth I'd be surprised to see XTB enter yet another war, after Menasor. Could be wrong of course, but I'd expect them to steer well clear of Superion for the time being. Devastator would be cool, but TT might end up going there if Raiden does well so they might not want to risk it.

I'd be more expecting Defensor, Computron or Abominus as none of them have representation in toon accurate and MP-combined-scale terms.  

 

I've not seen any updated pictures of Zeta 06 Superitron yet. Would have thought there'd be more in hand images by now.

Ultimately I think this is gonna get reverted back to the stock chest and toy head with gold chrome thighs to be my toy Superion stood opposite xtb Toy Menasor.

 

This is all I've managed to find while waiting for it in transit, from an eBay seller 'wolvesbabies'. Pretty cool looking box.

 

It could well be (that's what I hope at least!), but then we can't rule out companies going head to head either (again!), expect the unexpected in the world of MP combining!

 

@TigerBlade so are you thinking of using the gold chrome vinyl wrap stuff or are you going to paint the thighs?

 

Not going to lie, the details look very nice and sharp on the grey chest piece. It just throws me off a bit against all the white. Nice work!

 

I'd be spraying it bud, not had any experience with vinyl. Might have to look into it.

There's more detailing close up too but I can see why ppl might prefer white, I'm just odd  

 

my kit.

How does that metallic paint job look? I’m interested in this set but not sure if a double dip from the original.

 

First time owning them. Trying to get the fins and screw hole covers on. Bit tricky. Pretty happy with them. I'm liking Silverbolt. Not too keen on Skydive or Fireflight's face. Speaking of which has anyone got the origonal heads for sale for Fireflight and Air Raid?

Does it have metallic paint or just molded in metallic colors? Or that XTB metallic fleck coating?

 

@Bugste81 are the decos on the wings more toy on this run or are they the same as the original deco?

 

I'm pretty sure they've been painted and the wing designs may have been tweaked to be more toon.
