Most of ours shipped out at the very end of November, and left China about the first of December. Usually, within a week or so, they tend to arrive at your door. Somewhere between the cheaper shipping method used for the unusual size, the US Customs backlog from Black Friday shopping, and winter weather disruptions, it all fell apart. Retailers who placed bulk orders seemed to get stock without much issue, other than some getting smaller orders than intended; UK and Canadian buyers all received there orders as expected. The only consistent hitch seems to just be US Customs, who are pretty notorious for delays, lack of communication, and complete indifference to customers, namely because they don't really answer to any.
TBH, I'm surprised as heck at how fast TF Source got their stock, and even moreso that they had replacement options on-hand so early. Any time I end up ordering from them, usually because of a credit I have there, I seem to get my order so much later than anywhere else, except maybe BBTS.
Are you talking about the same figure (Capone)? I wasn't aware that TFSource got any in stock; their site still has it up for preorder.
I wouldn't say "horror stories" more of frustration. When I think if something that bad, I think of a seller running with our money and sending us magical beans in the mail OR by act of god, the truck that was carrying our figures ended up sideways and on fire, while being captured on the 6 o'clock news.
Oh yeah like my "stolen" maketoys meteor lol when u.s sellers namely tf source got theres hmm, seems like your customs system leaves a lot to be desired
Their initial shipment must have been for like 3 figures. I had a preorder with them for weeks and I didn't get one. Now I get to wait til fucking March. I'm starting to have serious thoughts about cancelling and dropping the set. This figure's scarcity is not inspiring confidence that dx9 will even finish.
Customs across the board, even in other countries. I don't know if its political driven or them just realizing they can squeeze buyers on taxes now. Luckily the US doesn't have too much of that BS going on, except for the processing through delays.
I would agree, the import charges we have to put up with here in the uk are pretty steep luckily buying from china they seem to know the score and dont report the value so we dont have to pay it, which is why i can't buy from the usa, they always declare that shit and you just get rinsed, and then you couple the crazy shiipping a lot of us sellers charge I been buying stuff from around the world ever since i got a regular job around 2001 and luckily i can tell you the amount of times i've been stung for these charges on my hands all 80% of them from items from the usa, in the end i just had to stop buying from there, it's a shame really you'd think the so called "special" relationship we are suppose to have we'd have more leniency on these charges, but alas no But on the plus side we dont have these crazy processing times you guys seem to have, swings and roundabouts i guess i dunno which i prefer constant importing with zero extra chrges but having your items turning up a month or 2 months late, or the import charge lottery we have but having items get through customs super fast
Mines haven't move since the 17th of December. With people seeing movement on their for like the 11th and 12th, hopefully in a couple of days I should see movement on mines. I'm in no rush to get it. It not like it the last part of it and waiting to combine it.
I'm lost then because I see what China does for my stuff and I do the same for packages going out to other countries, even the UK, which I've had no issues what's so ever with by the way. Just those other countries. For some reason, France, Austria, and Belgium have taken extra interest to make it painful for my customers. One, I even had the value and paperwork on the box but customs advised my customer those items were missing and nailed him for $50+. Another buyer had his wife try to get the package for him and they were trying to hit her up for all kinds of money. He went in and left paying zero. Size of the box matters too. From what I can tell, if the buyer knows how to handle these situations, there are no issues. But I think those that don't get nervous because un-suddenly customs is contacting them and they don't know what to do. Some have outright abandoned the package, which is against ebay policies and is considered no refundable situation. Just crazy times I guess. For now and checking again, no update since 12/4. I'm going to hate this figure before I get it
Yes sir, and I dumped all four of my Xtransbots because I got tired of waiting...I feel like such an ASS!
That's one of my biggest worries at this point. I wait over 2 months to receive it and I end up hating it in hand, or worse, I like it, but it's broken/defective, and I have to go through the PitA of sending it back or waiting for replacement parts....

To be fair, the impatience of people thinking XTB was going to be passed even though FT and DX9 were still far behind was brought up countless times. Back in October it was like: I know the missed dates didn't inspire confidence in XTB, but they did get their MM out by Dec/Jan as promised. But who knows, maybe DX9 will have a surprise showing of their last two Stunticons at TFCon in March and release them before Gravestone's trailer comes out. But yeah, given the alternating release dates for FT's Stunticons and Aerialbots, no way were they going to be first with a completed set.
Thank you for sharing these comparison pics! Just for grins, I'll give a quick evaluation or my opinion on aesthetic by ranking each view. Front View: 1.) DX9 (by a hair) 2.) Fans Toys (I went back and forth on this one, ask me tomorrow and this might be #1 front view, but the more I look at the size of the cab on the feet...) 3.) XTB (sorry but the Incredible Hulk I mean Gravestone just doesn't work for me, cab grill also does not do anything for me) Side View: 1.) DX9 2.) XTB 3.) Fans Toys (looks more toy accurate) Rear View: 1.) DX9 2.) XTB 3.) Fans Toys (to be fair, it's the only one with the trailer as part of the transformation, an amazing feat of engineering, but aesthetics were sacrificed, but who displays their bots from the rear anyway? lol)
