    They confirmed his funeral will air during Super Bowl LIV, meaning most likely it’ll be shown that he’s still alive.

    Yes Minister actor Derek Fowlds dies aged 82

    Derek Fowlds, the last remaining member of the trio of actors who made Yes Minister and Yes, Prime Minister two of the most successfully and brilliantly acted political satires to ever grace television passed away from pneumonia or related complications on 17th Jan. He was 82.

    I shall now binge watch both shows in memoriam of Derek Fowlds, Paul Eddington (died 1995) and Sir Nigel Hawthorne (died 2001) and perhaps try to enjoy the fact that this great trio are once more together.

    I knew Paul Eddington had gone a long time ago, I wasn't sure on Sir Nigel. Yes Minister / Yes Prime Minister were great shows (the revival / reboot just didn't have the same "zing"). Derek Fowlds was a brilliant pairing with Hawthorne. When I was a teenager I actually typed out a couple of passages from the show (Hawthorne's, I think, but still relevant), laminated them and put them up on the wall because they were so funny :)
