Aside the Optimus Prime MP44 by Takara, in my opinion the Constructor is the most beautiful Transformer ever produced until now.

It would deserve real improvements starting from all its articulation points. They could also do something to hide the wheels. And so on.

Considering all the parts forming it is made there would be really space for awesome improvements.

what is a studio OX head for Constructor? Also, what is the other head called?

Studio Ox is stylised, and came with the original v1 Constructor. A toon accurate head was released and the v2 came with both heads

 

The studio OX head as I have heard others mentioned is the non-toon head. I know the toon accurate head is more popular. I like the shape of the alternate head, but I don’t like the face. There are no posts about customizing the alternate head, but I may tinker with it.

So to confirm, the “screaming head” that is part of the upgrade package for the “Cell Shaded” Constructor, is the Studio OX? And the too accurate is the main photo with the visor across the eyes?

Yup. You get both to tinker with. I want to shave the sides of the OX head to see if I can make the toon face fit, but it’s not so easy. I have to see if the eyes will fit too because the mold is completely different. Worth a shot. I’m going to make a duplicate mold for testing first before I ruin the original.

 

Yeah I’m gonna use the ox head to try some mods on to see if it works well before trying it on the toon head

 

Question

Have we confirmed that the X version only comes with one set of the grey legs?
No spare green set in the box.

Someone on facebook is saying it comes with both. I think they are getting these confused

 

Mine only came with the grey legs.

 

I own the chromed/metallic Constructor set and it is packed in a way that it comes with both the grey thighs AND the green thighs. but you can only see the one set. Lift up on the foam insert sections in your foam tray the set comes packaged in. If this perfect edition is packed the say way it "should" have a spot or two that lift up to reveal other parts.

As that was the only way to find my alternate thigh parts " that must be manually swapped" to make a silver set of thighs, as well as the chromed/prysmatic drills and non metallic mixmaster truck barrel.

Just double check all your foam insert sections to see if any pull up.

That pre-order bit me to. I was telling myself since seeing Toyworlds devastator that I didn'e need it and my Jinbao was good enough. Wrong I caved in.

I have the first version, which required 4 add-ons to get it toon accurate, but I could never turn down a good gestalt. My plan is to revert my original to Studio Ox with the silver thighs and switch the green ones onto the perfect edition.

 

So who on here has both the perfeCt edition and the original? Just curious as to how they compare. Is the perfect that much better?

Yeah I have no need of 2 Devastators but every time I see the orange one I want it. The colour looks great.

 

So just placed my preorder for Constructor X. I have read back through the thread and even watched most of the 1 review available and cant find a detailed parts list to save my life. Can anyone tell me if this set ships with the stoic faceplate for the OX head sculpt? Only pics I can find have the screaming faceplate.

 

Both faces, no green thighs.

 

Anyone get a cell shaded constructor in hand that they can share thoughts on the quality.
