Yes, Please follow the Aegis paint philosophy with this guy.

Head needs work, specially the facesculpt.

Will the yellow accents be covered in translucent yellow plastic? Hope so. Just paint looks cheaper.

Really want to retire my FT version over one that I can actually handle. The FT one isn't very stable.

 

LOL, I think they took the "metallic paint" interpretation a little far. It looks more iridescent than metallic, not a 'real world' interpretation of a cartoon character.

 

I like the paint. They can always do a toon version.

I might just be happy its going to happen.

 

I'd love an excuse to get rid of Koot (terrible engineering). However, those colors ain't it.

Looking forward to seeing more final, hopefully toon-accurate colors (with toon Aegis style paint), or a toon version altogether. I'll sit with Koot until then.

 

Seeing this update really makes me hope for Abbadon even more. I know some people will think I'm crazy, but I actually really like Koot and I'd be perfectly happy if he were the only MP Kup option available. I might still buy Locke, but he'll have to really blow me away to do so. But I just don't like Sovereign at all and would love to replace him.

 

i believe they will do locke good. I was initally not impressed with their Motormaster , but now im having him real close to deliver

 

I think a subtle hint of metallic flaking across the entire thing will go nicely but who knows

The cigar and that face are a reference to the comics. They can easily just include an alternate face. No need to howl for them to get rid of a cool nod

 

Can somebody with Koot put him in the same pose? I need a comparison  

 

Well I’m glad everyone doesn’t like the metallic paint now. Too bad they didn’t say anything for XTB’s Seaspray, now I’m still waiting for a version of that with regular paint.

 

I love me some metallic paint. But this is maybe a little too metallic. I think I agree with those who suggested bringing it closer to Aegis.

I almost certainly won't get this guy because replacing characters isn't something I do very often and I still like my Koot but I'll still be following this with interest.

Ppl are just reacting to an update, there's nothing else to react to. Fwiw I'm told this is no way indicative of the final figure so fingers crossed.

Like you say it might just be the closest colours they had to hand. A quickly painted proto.

Edit - looking back at renders on pg1 they're much closer to how I'd personally prefer it. This thread was started coming upto 5 years ago too....crazy!!

Dude, they were posted today. I get that it's tough to keep up with threads sometimes but if you can even be bothered to check today's posts before commenting... well I don't really have a "then" for that "if" but just call me flabbergasted that you'd chime in without even putting in that tiny bit of effort. I'd feel like an idiot if I did that and then it was pointed out to me that it was a post from this morning.

I mean I guess four years and four months could be rounded up to five years. Sort of. 4 1/3 is technically coming up on five but it still feels like an exaggeration to say it like that.
