I agree it's an animation error when it doesn't show up, but that's likely for good reason. Check the main model versus the transformation model:


When they transform him the insignia is there until the first movement of transformation when it disappears so it's not present on his foot. Obviously Gravestone doesn't have that issue due to the faux parts.

This would explain, quite possibly, that if he was going to transform, the vast majority of drawing would be without the insignia. It's easy to see why there's scenes in purely alt mode with no insignia

 

I transformed my Gravestone this afternoon following Paik's livestream video, nice and easy.

No missing pins or eyes, no scuffs or stress marks, and after Hound I put some shock oil on that waist pin to help avoid any future stress there too.

He's a beast, as he should be, and a really good figure. A solid 8 or 9 for me. The irony of saying that is that I really want to cube him up and shove him in the trailer exoskeleton! April can't come soon enough...

Yeah, mine’s stuck 2 towns over due to “extreme weather” it snowed like 4 days ago but it should be pretty sorted by now unless the truck with my Gravestone rolled off the road or something.

I’ll probably still get it before the mystery Capone’s though.

 

US, Iowa, came in to LA and came across via FedEx, was delivered by FedEx rather than USPS, which is strange because it's almost always handed off. funny thing is he stopped at the end of the street and walked it all the way to my door, about an 1/8 mile. must have thought he wouldn't get the truck down our road since we still had ice on the street from the last ice storm we got. more info than you wanted I'm sure, lol.

 

Got my Gravestone coming in on the 22nd by end of day. We’ve had cold weather delays and snow delays in the lower mainland so I’m excited it’ll finally be here!

I haven't seen your vid because I didn't see a link but I have no clearance issue with the head. Did you fold the panel that goes at the top/front of his chest correctly? I haven't looked at the instructions yet, either, but if you fold that 3-part piece the right way the head goes through quite easily.

Yeah, from what I've seen he should have one on either side. Any times it's missing is an animation error. You may be aware that the cartoon had many of those!
It's odd, for years I had no interest in buying faction stickers, but then I did and instantly became obsessed, like you, with putting them on 'correctly'.

 

Geez, Mine's been in customs since the 8th, so 10 days. This is the longest I've had anything get held up I think (maybe JX TM2 Megs was longer?). Meanwhile Waterman got shipped from ShowZ at the same time, and it either arrives today or Monday.

Got mine in from Show.Z yesterday. Damn this is a good Motormaster. There are definitely aspects that I prefer about each version I have over the other.

 

Mine'll arrive on Monday, but judging from pictures, I have the same situation in terms of preference. I went XTB, but both have their disadvantages. RoadKing is too tall for me, and his legs are too bulky owing to the trailer parts. Gravestone's legs are too short IMO, the thighs could really be a bit longer. I prefer the way the knees look on RK. I'd like a fill-in piece to put where he has the tabs on his shins, and I would prefer it if his head didn't just sit on the front of the truck. The backpack could be a bit more streamlined, and he could have been a tad shorter - lets say MP-44 or MP-36 sized. However, these are minor things (I wouldn't have spent the money on him if these issues were that serious for me).
Of course I'll have him in hand after tomorrow, so I'll see how much better (hopefully) he looks in hand.

Also: I'm really enjoying the pictures! Do more so I can enjoy him vicariously before Monday  

 

Transformed my XTB Stunticons to vehicle mode with the help of Emgo's videos. I haven't transformed the limb-bots in quite some time but they weren't too bad. It's a good looking set. Looking forward to the completed Menasor.

 

I think it's more his torso is longer than similar figures which makes it look like the thighs are too short. Take these 2 examples:





The legs are pretty much identical in proportion, it's the upper bodies that are different so because Gravestone's torso is ever so slightly longer it gives the illusion of short thighs even though the proportions under the waist are very similar.
