No idea. This is just the first video of the second batch so far.

Do you guys see any differences or improvements so far?

 

Looks the same to me. Joints look properly tight, and even though they didn't really give any good angle to see if there was any paint chipping, I didn't notice any paint chipped.

Looked in that video's comments, and found this response the uploader posted to someone asking about the paint chipping: "The paint is nice .... normal proper playing is no problem... and your finger nail won’t make the paint chipping... however if you use its body to scratch itself... then may potentially chipping ... the case just like you can only cut diamonds by using diamond....."

So...better? I think?

Thats good. Iam glad i missed out on the first batch and ordered second batch.

 

did the video say anything about the paint improving? or you just need to do it carefully. I haven't seen any official statement from jx yet.

 

Not sure if its a new paint or not. There is still minor chipping. But i dont think its as bad as before. There are people trying to sell their first batch to get the second batch. So that tells me its better than the first.

deal with your tm2 meg first and worry about it after 10 months.

 

Seeing as we haven't had an official statement on what’s been changed yet I think that just means people are still hopeful the 2nd batch will be more resilient to chipping.
However, the paint is not the cause of the issue. No paint is impervious and theirs is applied unsparingly and sealed in very well. Unless they’ve tweaked the molds to allow parts a bit more breathing room so they aren’t sheering past each other the only thing they could do with paint is apply as thin a layer as possible in the hopes that it leaves a bit more space between areas prone to scraping.

 

It would be nice to know officially FFS. I'd like to buy one now, but don't know which to get.

 

Buy it now. The first batch is mostly sold out already in alot of places. Now its mostly second batch.

 

I don’t recall source but I read the increased spacing in some areas to accommodate transformation better. also according to this no issues with second batch.
