It must be the "luck" where you post about your item not shipping yet. Bumblebee is now on his way from Japan to me (estimated delivery of this Friday). Can't wait to try him out.

Any deals to be had on this guy from reputable shops? Hound has me itching a bit to get this thing.

I feel like it COULD be partly a design fault if the factory adhered to the plastic and paint specified in design. If that was the case engineering should've picked it up. If not, the factory should be serious trouble now.

I try to look at Transformers from a "design to manufacture" perspective; you know when a certain assembly relies on tolerance being really tight to work, I'd think that's not good practice of design to manufacture, and we're seeing more of that in the MP line.

But then again, I'm not too familiar with different plastic properties so it's all educated speculation :)

What are people doing to fix loose joints on this guy? Mine has loose hips, and a loose waist. other than that, he's so rad. I love his expressions, and range of posability. Really amazing job, and the feet don't bother me as much in hand as I thought they would based on pictures. Anyway, will some Pledge help these loose joints? Thanks! -Bob

I'm surprised that we haven't gotten a red MP-45 yet

Mines weren't terribly loose but I opened the hips up and cleaned off some of the extra paint on the edges and wiped some future around the leg parts and reassembled, now mines are a lot tighter but still not as tight as Hounds.

I have this problem too. I remember seeing someone detail how to take apart the legs and fix this. Something about the peg itself was misassembled

Yay, finally got to play with my copy from the Amazon Japan deal. I actually like this little guy. He is really small and a pain to transform with some of his joints being really stuff (like his shoulders). The transformations remind me of Sunstreaker a bit by being somewhat complicated and parts folding all over the place plus a fake chest. Overall I'm super happy to get him even though his thighs are a bit loose, like unpunk's and others here.

Now I have to find that fix and was hoping to find @Dean ML post about the backpack folding up tighter. I think I got it right, but would like to see if it is folded up tight. I'll have to take photos later to check.

After your other attempts I expected nothing less, but the way you integrate the background figures behind the cartoon Witwicky's is exceptional! The Bee transformation is great stuff as usual

If you are a Takara Fanboy, buy it without remorse.
If you are not I recommend stay away this product.

    Hope this helps!

Incorrect: The rod is not extended and the hinge is not fully bent

Correct: The rod is fully extended and bent on the hinge so that it's nearly parallel with the windshield.

Should look like this. Locks nice and tight and the only piece that really moves is the hood flap on the lower back.

Do you own the figure? What is a Takara Fanboy and why are they the only ones who can buy it without remorse? Again, your username is a wonderful bit of irony, man. Well done.

Thanks for finding those instructions and photos @Dean ML . Yep, I managed to read that correctly in the instructions then since I did that.

    Cheers! :D
Thanks! It's always a bit of extra work when there are toon humans involved, but usually worth the effort!
    :thumb

I don't know if it comes across in the gif, but I added a little bit of silver detailing to Bee's alt mode (around the windscreen and along the side/door handle) which is something I often do with MP cars.

I'm a bit disappointed with the flat, plain and dull headlights TT gave him; some clear plastic and slightly domed ones would have looked cool (even the toon art in the original version of that transformation has detailing on the headlights).
