I just bought MP18+ to get the bad cracked MP Hound experience out of my mind. Hope he’s everything you guys say he is.

 

both MP18+ and MP19+ doesnt suffer Hound's issue.

 

I only meant “Hope he’s everything you guys say he is“ in terms of awesomeness, not QC. I already have MP18 and MP19 years ago so I’ve convinced myself I don’t need to rebuy these characters again just for cosmetic updates. That’s until my MP Hound turned out to be a QC disaster. Just getting MP18+ to boost my mood. I was very surprised at how much I liked MP20+ Wheeljack over the original so I’m hoping for the same here.

 

Finally jumped on this and ordered through Amazon.com - US, not JP. This was sold directly by Amazon, not a third party seller. This came with the outer sleeve. When I pulled out the actual box, I saw that it was severely misprinted. Have there been any reports of a KO, or could this be a legit misaligned box that was mixed in QC?

Edit: I just opened the inner box, and the plastic tray was upside down (ie the car was at the top, accessories at bottom). All my previous Datsun Bros. were packed with the vehicle at the bottom and accessories at the top.

Has anyone been able to take the head on new MP-18+ and install it onto the MP-18S Silverstreak?

It probably doesn't make a ton of sense, but I feel a connection to the 18S, but love the head on 18+.

Thoughts?

 

Streak’s head is on a pin. So it’d be pretty damn hard.

 

Just unboxed this dude today. Been after him for a while and fell in love the second I saw photos. It's just such an awesome repaint. Having the + side by side with my Hasbro version and my god. The + just knocks it out of the park. It's made me look at mp19+ now as well. That also looks absolutely stellar!

Well, to give an update, I contacted Amazon about this and they assured me that this was direct stock and not through a third party seller on Amazon. They sent me a replacement copy, which was perfect, and I sent this one back to them.

If you want to order from there, just make sure you’re buying one that is shipped and sold by Amazon. Not just fulfilled by them.

 

Sweet, was it shipped nicely or poorly in your experience? Buying from Amazon has been a mixed bag for me. I've had many packages crushed and was outright sent a used or returned copy of MPM-6. Judging from your pictures it seems okay. I've placed an order anyways, it's the cheapest and Amazon customer service is pretty good. Can't wait to get him in-hand!

 

I find when things come directly from Amazon they are usually in good shape. My replacement Streak+ arrived in perfect shape.

 

So anyone have any issue with clipping the back windshield in on transformation? Mine is so tight it keeps popping the hood/torso connection. Am I doing something wrong? I never had this issue with Prowl.

 

Never mind I got it. The hood was not properly latching. However I tried to remove the head and the eyes didn’t come with it. So that’s uhhhh bad QC.

The original race went back on without issue but it definitely broke off in there. I’ll take a picture when I get home from work.

 

Anyone by chance get two of the blast effect connectors for the gun instead of one? I got 3 connectors for the shoulder cannons and none with the open end to fit the gun. I'd love to swap with someone if possible. As of right now I can't use the blast effect for the gun which is pretty shitty. TakaraTomy strikes again.

 

I ordered from Amazon recently and my copy had really bad paint QC on the hood. I have a replacement on the way.
