I know, I can’t wait either! At SDCC last year where they announced Runamuck had won the fan vote, John Warden said they were trying to perfect the ‘two wheels per foot’ engineering to then use on the Throttlebots so I’d say any of them could come first.

Goldbug would be a particular favourite of mine too, & if they’re smart they could label him Goldbug Bumblebee (or Goldfire Bumblebee) and have him be that year’s Bumblebee release.

I could see a new Huffer (with Pipes) & possibly a new Gears (with G1 accurate Swerve remold) coming then a transition to the Throttlebots as the new minibots for the line, maybe with the occasional remake like the more cartoon accurate chubby Cosmos or smaller regular tank Warpath for those not liking previous Generations ones.

So does this new art mean Earth mode megatron, sideswipe and hound or nah?

I'm soooo looking forward to my WfC trilogy Unicron :)

I wonder if they plan on doing some kind of bases or playsets for the ark and nemesis? (Maybe just the bridges?) they're so central to the more at this point.

Not necessarily since the Megatron depicted looks like the SIEGE one. However there is an EarthRise Megatron listed for the line, so who knows

i am so undecided if I want to get Hoist or wait for Trailbreaker. Trailbreaker is my favourite but Hoist is really going on me, except I still like T30 Hoist better. UGH

Why does this trailbreaker art look like the thrilling 30 mold though? Weird.

T30 Hoist is definitely a nice toy. As I photographed it for eBay I started to appreciate just how good it is.

I don't have him and I never gave him a second thought, but seeing some pictures on this thread somehow changed my mind. Hm, maybe I could get both and pretend the T30 Hoist is someone else? (that would be going against my promise of avoiding repeat characters but...)

I was wondering about Quintessa. We've not had an actual listing for her yet, was part of that rumour.

I even though what if she was the Alicon, that would be cool to have a female Quintesson Alicon. After all the rumour could've been based off seeing concept art or test mold.

    Just a thought.

Apologies if already posted, one bot we’ve seem to have missed on the box art is Galvatron.

Wow, the packaging this year is just amazing.
Really truly impressed by just how much effort they've put in, I almost never keep the packaging but I might have to start making the odd exception.

Unless we can get that stunning side panel as a poster of course...

    Oh yeah, good call!

I totally understand why the throttlebots are d listers, but I am really fond of them for some reason, particularly goldbug.

... and I’d love a new warpath (and power glide) too! Minibots forever!

    :O
Sharp intake of breath!! A really well executed galvy and Rodimus are my biggest tf dreams!

I liked the original Throttlebot toys. They were built around a gimmick, sure - but it was a fun gimmick. The 1980s was a time when the simple gimmick toys for young children had the same aesthetic as the more serious toys of the same year and were not dumbed down versions of the main characters. The Classic Pretenders kind of were, but I liked them still and it had been a few years since they last received new toys - unlike now where characters are expected to get several toys of various sizes and gimmicks every year.

Wonder if Lithone makes the map? Kranix would be a good battlemaster akin to how they did Rung.

They tied Prime to a rack in his own trailer for the packaging? How cruel! ;)
