The wfc trilogy is a version of g1, and in this version he is a tank and not a gun

 

I personally, really don't want to see Megatron turn into a gun ever again. He is supposed to be one of the more powerful Decepticons so his alt mode being dependent on someone else holding him just didn't make a bunch of sense to me. I loved the tank mode of the Siege version so I'm curious to see what his Earth Rise mode might be. I don't know if they would double dip on another tank mode, but if they want to try something else, I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Generations styled version of his Animated Earth mode. BUT, it would be even more awesome if Earth Rise Megatron ended up being BW Megatron. Doubt that would happen, but I could hope.

As for the others, I love each of them. Wheeljack, Hoist, and especially Cliffjumper have been begging for some better updates and I am definitely getting them. I am also very happy with Optimus Prime and will also be getting him. I've learned not to say this because I have been proven wrong time and again, but I don't know if I will have to ever get another Generations G1 Optimus again because this one looks spot on. My only little gripe is I wish Cliffjumper had a more hatchback alt mode. I look at his car mode and I have to remind myself that is not Windcharger.

The "Micron" message is a strange thing.

"Micron" was the Japanese word for "Mini-Con" in the Unicron Trilogy era and we know Takara announced an Armada Optimus Prime last year, but that can't have anything to do with this, could it?

If the WFC trilogy is a joint thing between Hasbro and Takara, why use "Micron" instead of "Mini-Con"?

 

Kinda bummed that Grapple gets a good looking accurate silver pointer thingy on his arm, while Hoist gets an oversized orange traffic cone to put over his hand instead...

They are re-releasing Siege Astrotrain in the Earthrise line, so Shockwave, Sideswipe, & Hound are probably getting Earthrise re-releases if I had to guess.

 

ii think it been said sideswipe won't reappear in earthrise, as well, siege astrotrain i think people been saying he was suppose to be in earthrise but they decided to move him to siege for some reason

 

Astrotrain is getting a rerelease because he was intended for earthrise and they didn’t have time to make a figure to replace him, warden said there were no plans for sideswipe so it’s more likely that hound, sideswipe and shockwave are merely there to fill art, like wheeljack being on the siege boxes

 

I dont know why they would re-release Shockwave... most of them are still in my local walmart unsold! lol

I'd say Micron is a planet, based on Prion from IDW and Micro from the Japanese continuity.

I'm expecting to see Quintessa, Chaar, Junkion etc on other maps.

 

That poster is pretty dope, and that Quintesson looks epic. Gonna need to see that figure hopefully soon.  

 

Oh 100% he looks incredible, honestly i think he was done a disservice being put into the deluxe price range, i think a lot of people would have been pretty ok if he hit Voyager, but it seems all standard carformers of WFC are deluxe scale, while larger vehicals are hitting the Voyager. But just from a design standpoint yea this would have been better with some upscaling, have some panels to cover the inner legs, and bam he's perfect.

I mean, Battlemaster Megatron in the air of his Reveal the Shield legends figure would be goofy and wonderful.

i could see it being a new mold on the Cliffjumper skeleton though, just retooling the car shell parts to be a beetle. Wouldn't make sense to have an entirely different transformation scheme.

Worth noting Doubledealer seems to be on the Decipticon side of the mural, safe to assume that he got brought on and paid by the Quints?

 

I just assumed they were in the art to show continuity/cohesion between the different parts of the WFC trilogy.

My only nitpik with these designs are how far the car bits jut out from the back of Wheeljack\'s hands.  I\'m sure it unavoidable, but it\'s a touch unfortunate.
