Micheal Bay should of directed it, while I did not care and only seen Bay's first TF film, he did an excellent job of reaching a new generation of fans, that bought merchandise, if G.I. Joe as brand does well, having a top shelf collector 6" line based on ARAH line, we need a lower end toy line to help inflate sales and bring in high volume. I would bet money that while many want a 6" line, many will want to buy only at clearance, and joe does not have the cache as Star Wars and Transformers currently still have.
I agree, Michael Bay should've done the 1st Joe movie, especially since he has a good working relationship with the military. As far as lines, rumor is that Jazwares is working on a 4" line with Hasbro working on a 6" line. @SilverOptimus any intel? I know Neuremburg Toy Fair is soon and Jazwares will be there...
The problem with Bay directing is the negativity may bring the movie. Considering the TF The Last Failure's performance. But I like his 13 Hours in Benghazi film though and Bad Boys. He's really fitted to direct action flicks. Transformers just made him look bad on some peeps.
Yeah, under the regular version there was an almost Beachhead style mask and there was a Fred head in the comic pack. I remember the Fred head being a big deal with the fandom at that point since it was the first time we'd officially gotten a figure of Fred.
I had the single carded but, bought a Fred head off a member on Hisstank. Mask didnt fit. Was one of those times they added a spot of putty and made a mould. Like that female Trooper. If you look in her helmet, they just added a bead of putty to make it fit.
Would you guys buy a Snake Eyes V2 for $30 if it came with Timber, a stand, smoke/explosion/gunfire effects and a bunch of weapons/accessories?
Yep. That wouldn't even be a question. V3 or V4 too. Just preordered the Black Widow with all those extras for the same price so I would definitely do it for Snake-Eyes.
Honestly, I'd happily pay that much for a fully articulated Timber by himself if he came tricked out with accessories, swappable heads, and maybe a alternate lower half so he can sit like a real dog. Absolutely if he also came with the hat and wig from "Pyramid of Darkness". (Pardon the quality, it was the only version I could quickly find during work)
How about Zartan and the Dreadnoks Cold Slither four pack. Each figure dressed and have the instrument played during the music video. Also, how about a "Snake" from Transformers?
I'd be down for an "Old Snake" figure. Though that'd probably end up as an SDCC exclusive given it's a one-off reference.
for $30? I have two considerations: a.) Snake Eyes with articulated Timber and loads of accessories b.) Snake Eyes with static Timber w/standard accessories plus a Bike
Would be nice if Snake Eyes in wave 1 has web gear, bandolier and swappable goggles/visor to recreate the V1 and V2 looks like the POC desert battle wave 3 figure
It's a beautiful figure in and of itself, but I got rid of it after getting Ultimate Snake Eyes, as it's an example of an updated interpretation vs being true to the original design. To me, the V1 and V2 outfits are different enough that you can't do a truly accurate version of either with just swappable heads/web gear. Personally, I'd prefer just a kick-ass V2 right out of the gate, something I could put in this pose (hell, give me all those characters): But I'm a stickler for the original designs. Other people's thresholds might be different.
