Look, whatever it is I've done I'm sorry. I'm not perfect and I make mistakes. But unless you tell me what it is I've done, I can't improve. And please, just stop. This is just cruel now.

And he does look pretty damn cool.

    Oh hey there...
I feel like I know you and your tastes well enough to be bold and give you my sense of the new IDW comics in a succinct way that'll mean something to you without me going into a lot of dull detail.

John Barber's comics were better than this. The dialogue makes me wince.

The Star Trek stuff, I haven't read. But I've seen relatively reliable people say that it's refreshingly good fun.

The reissue Devastator giftset from 2018 is still a fantastic release. I knew I wouldn't find a vintage box in this condition, so the reissue was a no-brainer. Toy quality on mine is fantastic, so lush and fits together very well. Display value is off the scale, just look at it...

...I won't be putting the stickers on, though, as they're a touch too reflective and thin, prone to curling and peeling.

I would dip in and out of GIJoe over the years. Normally I’d miss most of the good stuff when the newer stuff was released but I did grab a load of assorted Vipers. Just none of the standard ones, which I always wanted. Them and the B.A.Ts were always too of my Cobra want list but I’m happy with what I have.

There is a sneaky Snake eyes in there. Can’t remember if he is official or cobbled together from other Snake eyes to make a V2.

If the 6” ones are a thing I’d definitely pick up another Snake Eyes and Stormshadow (my most prized childhood GIJoe.) but I’d probably try not to get sucked in.

You'd imagine they'd use the 4" Fortnite moulds for the GI Joes, so many of them are already perfect. Helps with vehicles too.

And 6", even 7, is now where it's at across major retailers because you get kids and us old farts buying! It's major business in the likes of Target, Walmart, and whoever else, and even Smyths over here is getting in on it now. It could definitely be what brings me into the GI Joe fold!

They'd probably look better applied than the reissue ones - just depends how you feel about repro versus official stickers. Personally I'd stick with the ones provided, if only to make the item 100% authentic and of its time, recognisable due to its own features and foibles. In this case I've just decided to keep it unused.

I used to think these guys were perfect but lack of double jointed elbows, ankle pivots and thigh swivels really hinder the Ninja types. You can work around it but yeah I think I’ve been spoiled by the Acid Rain figures who pulled off quite incredible articulation at the same scale.

Sweet! Hopefully that will be Scavenger and Mixmaster on their way to me next week :)

I would LOVE any modern mask stuff to be scaled better with the Transformers.

Definitely thought there was an opportunity missed to have a few TR figures deco'ed into MASK homages with the Titanmasters painted up at the pilots.

I keep meaning to get that Thunderhawk kit for Hot Rod from ToyHax.

Only two vehicles I had as a kid was Bulldog and Slingshot (still have them). But would loved to have more.

    Never.

Agreed. Give me Colombo or Murder She Wrote any day.

The new series is ok. Very slow to start. Don't think it is worth that price.

It has the same campy vibe as a lot of the crossovers. It's fun enough.

Once the Walmart Soundwave reissue and cassettes were announced, it was at that point I felt a bit more confidence in the continuation of the line beyond the first wave/year. Seeing it released and widespread has been great, and I very much hope we see more classic Decepticons. For 2020, Astrotrain is an excellent start! Now to actually get one...

    Too kind, my man.

I'm amazed at what a deco change and some choice retooled parts can do for a figure. I could never slag off what was achieved with MP-36 - he's a technical tour de force - but his vanilla version has never held my attention the way it should owing to <this complaint about Takara's shift to cartoon accuracy has been redacted to comply with 'Fuck, You're Not On About That Again, Jon?' policy>.

This though, this hits a visual sweet spot I'd like to see entertained more often. My wallet though, perhaps not.

I think had I continued collecting MP toys, the MP-36+ would have been absolutely at the top of my list for purchasing, he's even tempted me since I sold all my MPs. I suspect a toy-accurate MP Sunstreaker would be the next thing I'd actively have to resist.
