If Regan & Carter had shown up and busted Zammo for drugs offences that'd have confirmed it! :D

I watched the final episode last night which had another belting line as Regan declared himself "utterly and abjectly pissed off" when asked how he felt about how he'd been treated.

There's definitely a bit of a commentary going on in The Sweeney, Regan often laments about there being "one law for them and one for the rest of us" when it comes to the upper classes on both sides of the law and Carter occasionally wonders aloud whether he'd have been better off as a criminal as the trappings of a life of crime often seem like a copper's wage is more trouble than it's worth.

I also like the relationship Regan has with Haskins. They're often at odds but there's a respect on both sides that occasionally shows despite Regan being way too macho to ever really admit he has feelings and Haskins being the typical stiff upper lip authority figure.

Apart from a few remaining childhood O.G.I. Joes, my one modern token Snake Eyes is the Movie City Strike version that I randomly happened on when they were clearancing movie figures in my local Poundstretcher, it was the only one among the selection and I almost couldn't believe it as I'd really hankered after the Resolute figure of him but didn't want the whole multipack, sure, I had to make do with a full length katana instead of the wakizashi but for the price it was a minor miracle!*

I didn't half fancy that one you have though, I really dig the tactical turtleneck look and a clever redesign that gives the V1 Snake Eyes design the sleekness and spirit of V2 (doesn't it come with a V2 visored head option too?) but also remains quite real life fighting gear feasible-ish. Really hoping the Snake Eyes Origin film puts him in something like this on screen.

    * = In fact cutting his sword and scabbard down might've been my first material-invasive Mod!

I think that's the Snake Eyes I have. I definitely have the Storm Shadow with the green lava lamp launcher. One of them came with a zip line, and I can't remember which one :lol

Zip line is Snake Eyes', I'm just glad they still packed in his tiny ninja rucksack (judging by the size of it I assume it's his sandwich lunch) as well as that massive bergen backpack with a pulley in it! Mine's still on card in here somewhere I believe.

Bwahaha - I just printed up a labyrinth puzzle box to put my dads 70th birthday present into so he has to work his brain to get to the present of... an escape room voucher. I anticipate much swearing.:ev:

XTB Gravestone arrived today and he is absolutely stunning in hand.

Well worth it and a great bot to end on. Bravo, XTB.

Now, just got to find out the best way to apply the water decals to him that I've just received.

    EDIT: Absolutely loving this fella.

Hopefully getting my XTB Gravestone tomorrow with Unique Toys Dragoon and Transcraft Mohican both on their way too. Help me get rid of those January blues. This month has gone on far too long

IIRC Hasbro realised a few years ago that kids aren't buying Star Wars figures, it's mainly adult collectors and they don't want the non-Black Series stuff at all, hence the lack of toys for Solo and the Last Jedi, in comparison to the old days.

Seeing the Flame Toys Furai IDW Prime figure so bloody cheap on Kapow - under £40 - reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally makes me wish I'd not bothered getting the model kit version as there's no way I can give mine a finish as nice as the official one.

I tried doing a firedrive and caliburst barrel swap, but the hinges are different widths. Alas, beyond my skill to alter in any workable way.

I never bother to check who has produced something so I wasn't sure, but yeah, it's noticeable when one of the biggest toy companies in the world goes MIA on a franchise. I love that adult collectors are now becoming a bigger focus ALONGSIDE kids stuff, it's incredible it took this long for something that's been obvious since, oooh, The Flintstones! I was amazed recently to see Aliens and 7" DC stuff going to Smyths. If I'm lucky they'll start doing NECA...

Thanks for the IDW Prime tip btw, I just ordered one   (have they mis-priced it? It's $63 on BBTS!)

Hey guys need your help ! Please provide me with your knowledge.

So I'm way behind with the comics, haven't read anything at all from the new continuity and what's on the side and there's no way I spend one second in the comic section so here it is: The first trade of the new TF title is 40 £. I guess it's fair, 12 issues in it, but that's still 40 £. Question is: Worthy ?
I know there's a lot of variables to a question like that, so I'll ask this way: Does it lead somewhere ? Do you get the feeling that there's a story here and it's gonna be told (somehow).
    Not just plain bad.

And what about the Star Treck crossover ?

    Anyway, thanks in advance guys.

    Here's an all time favorite.

Yeah, I think he did come with that v2 head - which hopefully is with the stash of accessories I have for him!

I'd forgotten about the snake eyes movie. I'd love it if they did a marvel legends/star wars black series wave for that movie, with a couple of movie designs but some OG interpretations too. It didn't happen with the last movies, so there's no reason to think it will now I suppose, but still - it'd be nice! Gi joe had a lot of fun character designs. I mean, I'd love to see the design brief for destro!:

If its the IDW Transformers (2019) World In Their Eyes vol then you can get the digital version on Comixology for £18.

As to whether its worth it, it's good, I like it. Its off to a bit of a slow start but has started picking up with issues 14 and 15 (both of which are after this volume). I think they are taking their time with this one to build out the world a lot, which I hope will pay off as things really start to get moving.

What runs did you like from IDW pre the re-boot.I might be able to tell you how they compare

A boxed G1 Optimus Prime in Hasbro packaging has always been a show-stopper for me, so getting the new Walmart cab-only Prime reissue in vintage style box was a dead cert. We get the first post-1990 re-use of Jeffrey Mangiat's original Hasbro Optimus box art too, plus maximum novelty factor. I thought that artwork had been lost, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility that it has somehow been reconstructed from older materials I guess.

    All the best

Yes, I meant a more surgical/structural swap, craft knives out & superglue! Fortunately ID are out of Wave 5 Battlemasters, and there's no other source currently AFAIK so the Cosmos itself has told me, "Er, not right now, mate, on yer bike!"
Probably just a single sentence:"Dr. Doom-alike Disco Arms dealer." :p
Funnily enough (or not with the movie in the works) there are some Joe rumblings going about, first that Jazwares (one of Fortnite's licencees, they do the 4" figures) has licensed the Joes for...something, and now that Hasbro themselves might be doing a Pre-Snake eyes movie test line of some core Joes characters at 6" Marvel Legends scale to help reestablish the brand before they get to the actual Movie tie-in figures.
