Only ones I saw out this morning at Maricopa Wally at about 6:15 am were SS Megatron and Mixmaster, 1 of each. No other Transformers on the shelves or pegs except those vinyl p.o.s's. Also saw the Marvel FF wave.
All the stores I've been too are empty in terms of Transformers, it's going to be a long wait til Earthrise which is supposed to hit online retail late March / April to who knows
I was in a hurry this morning, but they had several Megatrons and one Starscream. This was around 8:30 so Mixmaster could have been in the middle of the bunch or someone bought him. Looks like that Drift I returned is finally gone. It could be in the clearance aisle but I didn't have time to look. They better have marked it down. I told the woman when I returned it that there were parts missing, and they still just put it back without a reduction.
Yea, Maricopa Walmart has been absolutely pathetic in the toy department. It's been a completely empty 4ft section for Transformers(and other brands) since before Thanksgiving. Do they not have a department manager to order stuff? Do they just not like money? I would love to buy here in town, rather than hunt around the city on my way home from work.
Maybe it's going to be a while, Seige is pretty much done, Studio Series could be reordered, maybe some Cyberverse but Earthrise appears to still be a long ways away, alot of dead space
Yeah, Im with you man, I check every couple of days at Maricopa Wally cause I grab coffee and lunch before heading into work and they never re-stock transformers there. I end up getting most of my stuff from Amazon or Pulse because I never make it up to town because I work in Casa Grande.
The usual Transformers area at the target at Chandler Fashion is pretty barren, but now there's a Transformers endcap near there as well.
So last night most of the Walmarts in the east valley still showed limited stock for G1 Astrotrain, and this morning every one of them says out of stock. So either something's fishy or they all got put out and snatched up over night. At least at the Superstition and Southern Walmart last night they had a pallet out with some Hasbro boxes on it, but this morning it didn't look like anything new was on the shelves, and there wasn't a shelf tag for Astrotrain either.
That is very odd, I wonder what happened. I've checked 6 Walmarts in the East Valley (Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert) multiple times over the past couple of weeks, but never saw a single G1 Astrotrain.
It was first spotted at US retail (Walmart) on December 28th. New G1 Astrotrain Reissue Found At Walmart - Transformers News - TFW2005
I grabbed one like 2 weeks ago at 51st Ave and Bell Walmart. I go there every few days and it was the only one I've seen on the shelves so far, but they are out there.
Superstition Springs and Southern Walmart did at least part of their reset last night and put out a couple FF Marvel Legends cases. There are still two Dooms there as of 8:30ish. No Demogoblin wave or any noteworthy TF except for a big Cyberverse Grimlock.
Yeah man, I grabbed the whole Marvel FF wave at Maricopa Walmart as well as the new Batman and Superman from McFarlane toys which were also stocked.
I got a G1 Astrotrain at the Stapley and 60 Walmart this morning. It was the only one there. So Brickseek, which still says out of stock everywhere, isn't accurate for these guys. Multiple people on other state boards have posted about it in the past few days, so it looks like they're finally starting to get put out in most places, but if you really want one you're going to have to check the stores pretty frequently. =/ The Greenfield and 60 Walmart has a shelf tag for it (it says "G1 Spring", which supposedly refers to the Spring reset, not a surprise Springer release, you can see it here: Possible G1 Springer Listing in Walmart Computers), but I haven't seen any there in the past few days. The Superstition Springs and Southern Walmart does not have this tag after their reset, but they do have a tag for "Gen Astrotrain", which I assume is for the Siege version whenever they get it. But who knows. Stapely and 60 also has multiple Gamerverse ML Spider-Mans, and one Superior Octopus. And if anyone's into Aliens, it looks like there's a new Walmart exclusive line. They look like cheap crap, especially compared to the original Kenner line from the 90s, but maybe better for little kids (in the grand tradition of marketing rated R movies to kids with toys).
