Every time I tried to line up his logo it looked too left or too right. Centered in the box was too left but centered on the shoulder was too right. No position looked just right to me. Ultimately I went with centered on the shoulder because I thought it looked better too right than too left.

Yeah, my overheat has a faction symbol in alt but nothing in bot. The only place to put it is on his arm and I just don't like the tiny tiny logos people have been using so I decided he was better off without. Wreck gar isn't an autobot so I didn't faction him up either.

 

Chinese New Year I remember people talking about it but all my purchases last year January through March still seem to come in as normal. So what’s the difference during cny and how long does this last?

 

Depends where you're getting things from.

CNY represents a ~month long labour shutdown out of Asia, so don't expect to see any new product in that timeframe. Product already in the marketplace shouldn't be affected, and large worldwide retailers and shipping companies should be business as usual.

 

I didn't have to do any shoulder shaving, so I was saved that annoyance... I held the sticker with tweezers and then spent quite a while positioning it carefully until I was happy with it before letting it go. Yes, it took a lot of patience, but I think it was worth it.

I also put one on Crackup over the join on his chest  




It hasn't all been sunshine and fun though, I had to scrape two stickers off IT's Emperor of Destruction's chest as I put them on at a slight angle both times

It mostly just means any new product entering the pipeline around that time will either be rushed out before, or postponed until after. Shipping isn't typically affected in any noticeable manner.

 

As others have said, it affects release dates, not shipping. That's part of the reason why Gravestone's trailer isn't coming out until April, basically all of production is shut down for CNY. So if a company doesn't release something before CNY, it'll be March or April at the earliest before they do release their next product because they took a big break and it takes a while to ramp things up again.

So yeah, MMC should be getting Incursus right before CNY, but now its gonna be a couple of months before we see their Blast-Off. Same with FT- they've been alternating their Aerialbots and Stunticons about every couple months. They just released their Skydive, but because of CNY, their Wildrider doesn't come out until May.

So yeah, last year, things you ordered in January or February would reach you just fine, its just there would've been way less to buy during that time.

 

I'm not super knowledgeable about Chinese New year, but a whole month? What kind of insane party goes on that long? How does the country function if everything shuts down for so long?

I received Gravestone today and the first thing I noticed was that the quote on his bio card is the same as on Deathwish's and doesn't match the quote on the opposite side of the box. Let's hope the QC inside the packaging is better than the QC on the outside.

The actual New Year + one week off is 25 Jan to 2 Feb. Services/production/delivery are usually disrupted one week before and one week after.

If item has been produced before CNY, it might be shipped out starting from Feb 3. If not, then Feb 10 if allowing one week production.
