Exactly this. If I'm not sure they'll be releasing the other two there's no way I'm going one in on a trio and getting stuck with an oddball. I'd rather keep my matching Yes Model coneheads...

 

Yeah I missed the boat on them so bad! I waited and now I doubt i'll be able to get them. If and when Fanstoys does though... im so in!

 

By the time those get reissued, you'll be holding out for reissues of the Coneheads.

 

Used is good enough/ perfect for me. Just picked up Lightning, now I need the other two, as well as Downbeat, then I think I'm done with Make Toys. I don't want any part of a "series" (Coneheads, Headmasters) unless I can get the whole series, preferably matching.

 

Solid figure but I have a tab broken out of the box. I think I found the reason the figure was pulled back for qc. The lower pins for the small wings have paint on them. Looks like someone was covering up stress marks.

 

I'll be damned! I hadn't seen that, but just checked and mine has that too...

 

lol mine has it mostly on one side, the other side is lighter or just better blended in

 

Sorry to hear this, but mine has no such things.

 

Not saying you're wrong, fingers crossed this was just some of them, but I had to tilt mine into natural light to see it after reading this.

Mine is the on moulding of that pin, and in bot mode, upright, it's just the top half - so the wing casts shadow naturally. I had to give it a waft around in the light to see it. And yeah, one seems better than the other, but both have it.

If I'm honest I feel deceived, but I still want my other two Coneheads!

 

I gave it a thorough look over. No such issues. My only issue remains the left hip skirt and the accompanying stress marks on it.

Remember, not every single one of their SolarFlare was bad either.

I feel deceived a bit too. If they’re going to recall them to take care of an issue I would’ve expected them to remedy it not literally cover it up. From what I can tell there are a couple hairline cracks that have been there. The connection feels stable though bit I still feel like it’s only a matter of time before they break. I’m trying to get it exchanged for another (hopefully better)copy.

Don’t suppose anyone can point me toward somewhere that still has Meteor’s wing fillers available can they? I can find the ones for the other two easily enough - wish I could find the figures themselves so bloody easily - but the Meteor ones seem to have vanished

 

Gah...still considering getting this Dirge but the feeling unsure on whether or not they'll do the rest thing keeps me from pulling the trigger...

Thing is, would you rather have Endgame and likely sell it at loss when MT announce they're done...

Or...

Have to pay similar prices to Skycrow and Lightning for it when MT release the other two?

Which situation is worse?

Personally Im happy to gamble the current price. I'd hate to have to track him down later.

 

At 120 this is low risk IMO.

Of course you can wait for FT or XTB, but it won't be for a while.
