I agree with @Charlock and @ManelFigures that a new mold is needed. The Jinbao Devy that I just got cannot even hold up his Massive(awesome) gun. The larger size just magnifies the issues the first one had. I am still a huge fan of the "all built in" methodology, and would love to see anther company take a crack at this with modern(this came out in 2014!) engineering. But for now, for $25 bucks it's a great stand-in, even with his loose joints. he does have a hulking appearance and he towers over my Legends(NOT Legends+) Decepticons. Really interested to see what NA does with this character.

Might work for the combined mode, idk how the size diff will turn out

But I'll bet on the individual modes being more scale accurate on the original

I've noticed that MFT released a Diaclone version of their KO Hulkie. I was thinking to buy Oversized Hulkie because I already have DX9,also a MFT is wortyh to buy together considering I love Constructicons or are better 2 or 3 of my favorite NBK ones of the team?I ask this because I know that JinJiang Gravity builder has terrible robots as their Mixmaster.

Does anyone have any tips on the parts of the chestpiece falling down in combined mode? The joint on Hook's right crane piece is super loose on mine so it always sags down

I spot glued mine (when I had one). I used superglue, but you can probably use a less permanent type of glue if you want the option for transformation in the future. For me the pin just was a complete failure at doing its job.

    The following should work:
    • Kiki, sold on eBay, for loose joints on action figures
    • Water-based polyurethane, if your local hardware shop has it
    • Clear gloss acrylic paint from model kit shops
    • Clear Nail polish

I don't like how this version removed the foot tilt for Devastator by designing out rotation of the scrapper shovel.

That's unacceptable for an OS. And it's dumb that his other foot still has an ankle tilt if one doesn't. I ended up buying the regular size KO as the lack of the little guns didn't bother me on that one.

So browsing through Day To Day Hypermarket in Dubai, I found a batch of Constructicon guys for super cheap (4 of the 6; just found the other 2 at LuLu Hypermarket last night.) They're clearly derivative of the oversized knockoff that started this thread. However they have no metal parts, and what seems to be the YueXing simplifications (Long Haul's waist plate thingy doesn't fold up).

The package insert calls them MyToys Robot Deformation 6in1 King Kong: God (and on the other side, Alloy King: Kong God.)

Could somebody in the know, please trace out the whole history of these molds from where they started? (DX9 --> MechFan Toys KO --> MFT oversized KO --> several other KOs apparently) I'm so lost. I need a Kong God to help sort this out.
