I DONT KNOW IF ANYONE HAS SEEN OR TALKED ABOUT IT BUT THE HELLO KITTY X GUNDAM MODEL KIT SET IS ACTUALLY A HUGE GAME CHANGER!!!
Knuckle grinding continues! First step is nub removal and flash sanding. Get done with every set, and then paint the knuckles.
That's..... quite a coincidence. Speaking of my MG Jesta, there's not much progress going on in these few hours actually. I did finish building, applied the decals and top-coated the beam rifle (Which is a pretty cool design for a beam rifle)... .... alongside with whatever this section should be called.
You sure that's a kit? It just looks like a cross-frame SD RX-78-2 with a custom head. The Japanese are INSANE with the kinds of stuff they can carve out of plastic simply as a hobby. The power of universal 3mm ports.
So.... here's today's lesson of "What Hadlen did that you should NOT do.." After the marathon of building those Version 2.0 GM frames, I was thinking about revising my paint work on the Master Grade Prototype Gouf. I had made so many mistakes trying to use gold and silver enamel (treating a 1:100 scale model like I'm doing with the RG Sazabi), thumbprints, smudged paint, and even too much paint that caused parts to bind and unable to move, etc, and so I soaked the parts in Super Clean overnight and then ran a cycle through my ultrasonic cleaner. Everything looked fine but then suddenly as I'm straining the parts out of the container, I noticed flakes of plastic that shouldn't be floating there... Yeah...... I dun Gouf'd. I forgot that I tried cleaning these parts before using Testors enamel (airbrush) thinner, not soaking the parts in it, just a few cotton tip dabs around the areas where it was binding up or the surfaces with excess enamel spills, before I shelved this project in the first place. I suppose when the Ultrasonic finished stripping the paint, it caused the fracture points to crumble entirely. The only part to survive was the PS plastic head for the Prototype variant... F***. The good news though is everything that makes the Exclusive model unique is safe and unharmed. The only part I had started painting was the new head, while everything else is from the stock Version 2.0 Gouf/Zaku skeleton. So, I need to find a replacement Gouf Version 2.0 model and steal its frame.
It's part of Bandai's promo pictures that they recent added so it seems like you'll be able to ハローキティ / RX-78-2 ガンダム [SD EX-STANDARD]|バンダイ ホビーサイト On a side note, This is adorable
Oh, ok. Still not seeing how this is a "game changer" as it's literally as I said all the same: a stock rossframe RX-78-2 with secondary Hello Kitty model that headswaps onto it.
Just a slight correction, but it's the EX-Standard RX-78 and not the Cross Silhouette. Which is unfortunate cuz of all the stickers. I might still get it though, it's a cute novelty.
Local store got the Figurise Asuna in stock, so I grabbed one. She's my first kit of 2020. Just looking at the instructions, this seems to be a quick build, and as expected of Asuna's intricate outfit, there's a sticker sheet. But there's also a provided Waterslide sheet so that's much appreciated.
No serious work on the GMyu Force tonight, but I did solve a future project problem! The MG F90's frame color is that violet-blue gray, and I want to paint the back of the shield to match it. It took some cobbling together of a few raw colors until I looked at some of my other recipes and found my solutions to better match it. For sake of remembering it for later, the final mixture and their respective colors. Seeing how I want to eventually get some of the A to Z Packs for F90, it will be useful to have a small bottled supply. In the event I ever pick up an Alex 2.0, this will be perfect for it too.
my first kit of 2020 will likely be the Ichigeki Sacchu!! HoiHoi-san that i have pre-ordered for April;
