It would be great if they make more characters prime Megatron I’m interested in maybe star scream , combiners, Unicron , trypticon , soundwave, dinobots if they make more be nice to see but in different sizes depending on character they make combiners 10- 14 , metroplex 15-20 Unicron , primus, cybertron ark 20.00

Unfortunately at this stage it seems they only have the license for miniatures, not games :(

Anyone an idea of what said license would cost?

Baseless speculation for Wave 3: Grimlock, Hot Rod, Shockwave, and Ravage/Lazerbeak.

Yup, came out yesterday I think. My store will be getting my order in next Friday: getting two of each and three Starscream (spares in case I need em or in case I want to do something else with the extras and three Starscream in case they don't do different molds for the other seekers).

I'm gonna say no. None of the other Wizkids figures come apart and yes, it is very difficult to paint around things like capes and such. You get used to it, though, and learn some tricks to get around it. You paint the hard to reach spots first so that when you do the rest, you can cover up any mistakes. Also, they're usually made of multiple glued-together pieces and it's usually not too difficult to tear them apart at the seams. Then you can paint the tough spots before going them back together. It's a little risky but so far I haven't destroyed any minis using that method (though I don't tear them apart for painting - I tear them apart for kit bashing).

That’s pretty unfortunate, tbh. I’d buy figs like this as heroclix. Maybe two or three packs for bigger bots, and the standard five packs for smaller bots and/or humans

Tracked down a set today. We've all seen the front and back of the boxes so I'll skip that and go straight to shots of the figures including the decals they come with. White = waterslide, yellow = sticker.

Everybody comes with one of their faction symbol, one of the opposing faction symbol, and one shattered glass in waterslide and sticker, with the exception of Optimus who includes a transparent background grey outline symbol. Sadly they didn't include an extra logo with Starscream but luckily the Autobots include them so you can give screamer both wings as long as you've purchased at least one autobot. At least the front of his wings - you'll need at least one double of an autobot if you want to give screamer faction logos on both wings front and back.

The sculpt work is very nice IMHO. And the figures were extremely well backed - wizkids' figures often suffer from bent weapons but only Bumblebee's blaster is slightly bent (and it's easy to fix these - hot water, then hold it straight while it cools) and one of Starscream's wings is slightly curved. There's a little bit of mold flash here and there but miniature painters are used to this and it's fairly trivial to shave it off with a hobby knife. One of Starscream's forearms has a little bit of sink (likely from the plastic shrinking as it cooled) and Megatron's chest has a small blemish (easy to fix since it's in a large flat area). The included bases are large size by DND standards and these will not scale with 33mm scale figures (well Bumblebee scales alright but everybody else is too small). In case it's not obvious, they don't come pre-glued to the bases - typically one would glue them down after finishing painting.

As for detail, Starscream kind of has Steve Tyler lips and Megatron's eyes aren't quite as defined as I'd like but otherwise I'm very pleased with what I'm seeing here. I think I'll take a crack at painting one or more of them this weekend.

Optimus: 74mm to the to of his antenna.
Megatron: 73mm to the top of his head. 80mm to the top of his gun barrel.
Starscream: 77mm to his head, 80 to his jet intake, but keep in mind he's elevated by his jet exhaust. 69mm from his head to his heel.
    Bumblebee: 60mm

Popped into my local comic shop and they had the whole set, so of course I got one of each. They are pretty great, I am looking forward to painting them. I plan on incorporating them into my D&D campaigns whenever possible and displaying them with my Titan Class figures. Pretty excited for wave 2 so I can get my hands on that Arcee.

I cracked up at Steve Tyler's lips. XD Well, its a good thing he's got a helluva set of pipes to go with that rock star leer.

So how much longer until transformers can get added to heroclix.
If your unaware it’s a miniatures game made by wizkids.

Only one insignia for a seeker seems like a ridiculous oversight/fail. (unless you want to use one decal and one sticker, which'll look odd)

Agreed. I was very disappointed in that. At least the Autobots come with one each as well so you can use those. I'm concerned about their upcoming Ravage and Laserbeak set, though - will they be using the same generic decals or will they make a smaller version? And will there be enough logos for both of them or will it be the same sheet we've seen with the others?

Apparently my LCS got these in last week, and I snagged the last set + 1 extra Optimus this morning. Really satisfied with the sculpting on these guys, they're like more dynamic versions of Takara's SCF trading figures from the early 2000s. Right now, I'm debating what to paint my extra Optimus as: Nemesis Prime or the Evangelion crossover version.
