I feel like you missed the conversation from before as to why comparing NewAge's work to Hasbro's are apples to oranges.

Yeah that’s easy to say when you’re continuously comparing it to a 3rd party figure that had no budget in its design and only had a price after they made it. It’s a voyager class figure that has to meet its budget for its price point which means it has constraints

no, it is less noticeable because it is less noticeable. it sits much lower than it did on the classics deluxe

Isn't that kinda of the point though. They've found so many ways to make things work in Siege that you give them some goodwill when they have to give them some space to make a compromise when this happens.

Like, look at what they did giving Jetfire a fake nosecone on his crotch so he could have waist swivel but still be G1 accurate. It's not that they didn't care with Starscream...it's that of all the things they wanted to do, that's one step too far for the budget.

jokes don't translate well in text without something to indicate it's a joke. there are so many people on these boards that crap on everything official that your post kinda just comes across as another one of those

hmmm. wish the plastic was a bit more slivery/cool grey, wish the nosecone folded down into the back more and wish the skirt had individual pieces for each leg, Wish the wings weren't hollow and ugly from the underside/back, wish the null rays weren't hollow - and if they had to be hollow, wish the hollow side wasn't up in Jet mode (that is super tacky), and while it's nice that they toned back the overdone greebles from the complete mess that was the Siege Seeker mold, i'd still tone it back maybe 25% more, BUT all those nits picked, this is still the Starscream i've been waiting for since 1984. Will be buying them for the 3rd CHUG time (Classics Deluxe/CW Leader/Earthrise Voyager) - Sadly, their is probably no way in modern day Thundercracker will have as nice paint and plastic as the Generations deluxe did (that figure had just completely gorgeous colors)

I feel like when I see Earthrise Screamer, he (to me personally) at least looks like he has some more articulation than the MP-11, and he overall looks still like Classics Starscream. As for the waist Articulation, I feel there could be a way around the need to sacrifice waist rotation for the transformation.

And with the amount of attention articulation we got with siege, if they said they weren’t able to do it than I’m gonna take their word they couldn’t. People keep acting like John Warden is twirling his mustache laughing at us because a figure doesn’t have a waist where in reality he’s making it harder and harder to stop collecting lol

but the Seige seeker mold could completely cheat and have as much articulation as they wanted since the ENTIRE ROBOT MODE hangs off the bottom of the alt mode. They are literrally 2 completely unrelated halves.

Loving this Starscream more and more with each new set of photos that come out. All I want after this is a Selects G2 slight repaint, because anything G2 brings good feelings to my heart :bay

i meant that they didn't have to worry about any design compromises necessary for the robot mode to transform to alt mode, because it basically doesn't.
Earthrise SS has to transform into an F-15, Siege SS barely transforms into a box hanging underneath his alt mode.

but it still on a budget and has to meet that budget. People have already asked John Warden about it and he was pretty great and honest and said as much. He’s the guy that would know. He’s knows certainly more than people on a forum chiming in and saying “I think it was possible” because at the end of the day we don’t know shit about it and siege Starscream is a completely different toy from this.

This seems like a good version of Starscream to do every Seeker repaint. Hasbro won't though

Why’s there gotta be anti-3rd party retort that puts others down for buying non-official Transformers? There’s a snobbery here from some members (and mods) that I find very off-putting.

I’m okay with paying more for a smaller figure because I find it better designed. The 3P Legends market is full of great products.

Earthrise Starscream is too boxy-looking for my liking and I don’t care for the fact it apes the transformation scheme from the old Classics mold.

I’ll stick with Siege as my official voyager CHUG Starscream.
