    Thanks for the heads-up. I'm scared to transform him anyway because of his spindly little arms. Nothing like the original, which looks like you could knock a rhino out with it.

    I heard it say that it helps to relieve the pressure on the hinges if you clip off the tab at the end of the lid with a nail-clipper.
    I did this only when it was already too late, so I can't say.

    Yeah, would have saved me a lot of money. The first guns I used were from Shapeways (P-tooey! Never again!), then I decided to get some actual G1 guns and modify the handles.
    All in all, I could have bought another LG Sixshot for the total spent.

    Here's a mold I was never interested in. I bought the figure when it first came out and returned it the next day because, quite frankly, it isn't good. Still isn't, but after getting it yesterday in a small lot, I kinda don't hate it as much.
    I will never be able to call it Alpha Trion, because I just prefer him as the kind old man from G1 and not a Conan-esque warlord. I'll just call it a Knight of Trion and be done with it.

    I don’t know what it was but as soon as I saw that mold I absolutely fell in love with it. It’s not perfect by any means but the Lio Convoy version is just gorgeous.

    yep Leo Prime, one of my high priority list, finally got it few days ago. Still looks regal with that sweet gold and white and that gold pylon beside his head.

    the lion, a bit wonky but still giving an old prideful lion. the small pretty blue eyes can be seen in some angle.

    the small bot is excellent paint job

    the space ship... welll it's similar like broadside with the reverse half lion head which i can see very smart transformation. and give a good spot for the blue blaster and the sword

    Tons better than Alpha Trion for reasons you mentioned.I'd just buy this Takara lion,not Hasbro.
