    Step 1. Buy lizards.
Step 2. Play some Barry white.
    Step 3. Profit.

Haha, nah, I don't think she planned on killing them, but I think it was pretty clear that she was trying to scam a kid and sell them on for profit.

As for the JP command center, it was one of the few original JP toys I didn't have. I picked up a tatty incomplete boxed one at a car boot a few years later. After a while I needed the space (big box), I took it to several car boots, couldn't get rid of it so I just gave it to a kid rather than pack it up again.

Of all the toys I regret getting rid of as a kid, it's definitely the JP stuff. Jurassic Park for me in 1993 is what I imagine star wars was like for kids in 1977. The film blew my mind, the toys blew my mind, I was fucking obsessed.

I've thought about buying some of the old toys, maybe someday. I think I'd be happy with an old Muldoon and a veliciraptor.

I do still have an old Kenner dimetrodon, but dimetrodon isn't even a real dinosaur. SMH.

Altho the toys never had a release this side of the Atlantic, I saw the cartoon on Super Channel (?)back in the day. I saw "Hasbro" in the end credits so I knew it was a toy line of some sort.

I was pretty surprised at how dark the cartoon became at times. Later on I found out (according to Buzz Dixon) that Hasbro said "We're cancelling the toys, do what you like with the cartoon."

If they were working straight off the TV scripts, then it stands to reason that directly drawing the story as written lead to a more graphic result.

Perhaps it was just as well the comic got cancelled halfway through adapting the miniseries. Don't think I want to find out how they would handled Manglar's fate in Cypheroid. Or this script instruction from Primal Passions.

Just got the PoL notification from BBTS - been in the pipeline so long I wondered if they'd ever appear! And of course now I'll have to wait months before I can ship them to make the most of all the costs...

Yeah That’s sound boundary pushing there. I’ll bet it’s the psychic thought waves of the birth of a very specific type of Japanese animation involving much the same wiggly appendages.

I think I need to get another of these wall units and move my MP cars over the other wall the. Have a Decepticon and Autobot unit with maybe a backdrop for each.

I think at some point, everyone is sent downstairs by their significant other to check out a creepy noise. Most of us make it back.... some don't.

Sure who could be bothered with the whole thing? The Walking Dead makes it look boring as fuck.

I reckon with the wind we had earlier they roads could have rolled up on their own.

Aye the situation in Aussie-land is grim.

Nice work dude. Really helps to pick out the detail.

Totally get what you mean. I remember the queue for our local cinema to see Jurassic Park was out the door and across the car park. Have never seen the like of it since. The toys were great. The dinos with the removable flesh were so cool. Totally wouldn't get made for kids these days! Not to mention Dennis Nedry (really Ian Malcolm) with his removable arms.

The chest hasn't been pushed up fully, which means the arms/shoulders/side of the torso hasn't popped out properly, the wings are out at an angle (they can go much more vertical) and the backpack can fold down pretty much out of sight, but is left up in view in the pic. I wouldn't normally comment on a mistransformation (except in jest) as folks can display them how they want, but had to mention in this case, that's not how he looks normally. Yes, he's a bit squat for wheeljack, but he does look better.

Wait..... @barry you haven't got a job as a Hasbro official photographer, have you?

Sorry, Jon, that is exactly the kind of filth he requires! Just the right kind of DIRTY! OOF!

    @barry @Skyguy @Insurgent I...ah, I'm not so sure Earthrise beats this fella:
    DSC_0046.JPG
But there again I'm the kind of weirdo who digs the 'Toon style hybridised with the actual G1 toy's chonk that CHUG 'Jackie presents! I don't mind a stoutly-built tinkering mechanic.
Plus Earthrise rocking Sunstreaker shins with stubby wings instead of proper bonnet boots doesn't help with his underequippedness and most likely lack of a Track-ish intermediate flying car mode (given those stumpy spoiler wings) means I have my doubts about the necessity of replacement. He seems quite underserved, I'm just hoping if he is the basis for ER Sunstreaker that WJ's had all the compromises and 'Streaker can easily stand next to his gorgeous Lambro in the looks department!

I can safely say I’ve never been sent downstairs by my better half to check out a noise, firstly she can hold her own and secondly her hearing is atrocious.

Unless I’m insulting her under my breath 3 rooms away, in fact she can probably hear me typing this....!

I would say earthrise is generally better, in terms proportions, decals but his wings and weapon are too stubby. Overall though, i really like the first classics so he'll be staying put in my collection. ER isn't better enough to warrant a replacement.

Yep. I have no interest in getting apeface.

    Evening all.

Well I'm now an ex-owner of MP47 - literally just sold him for parts so a mate can FrankenBot a complete copy. Rather him than me. But that's some of the sting of the loss reduced.

Gravestone and Toy Deathwish are on their mayhem-inducing way to me and that will complete an MP Menasor, so that's it for me and G1 MPs for a while. Except of course it isn't. Because I had to pick the Menasor that requires buying a separate Trailer full of the bits and Skeleton of Mental-Carboys before you can combine Him.

    Fucking. Rip. Off.

And what did I really expect. Silly, silly me. I was weak for cheap Carbots. Of course the tail would have a sting.

Better News: managed to source an MP42 for £62 from Japan, so that Head-swap with Sunstreaker can finally happen. Yay! No more Giggly-Goblin Sunny!

    It worked!!
    IMG_20200113_201954.jpg

Wanted Spasma to be able to stand alongside his ape mode, so swapped the face with his tr version. The ape fits on tr perfectly, tr fits on siege 99%. Very slight gap and wobble but not noticeable unless you're looking.
    IMG_20200113_202036.jpg IMG_20200113_202054.jpg

Now i can decide which face to have with just the one titanmaster, and his ape needs never get removed again.
    IMG_20200113_202128.jpg
And yes, it even still fits in the backpack for robot mode with the titanmaster in the ape head.

HAHA Inhumanoids! Always intrigued by the toys, but never got around to them. Nor will I, and that's fine.

When I was a kid I didn't have that many toys (I am amazed at how many toys my kids have) and Transformers was by far the most I had. We also had some Starcom and MASK, with a few Action Force/GI Joes, a few Robo Machines, one Centurion (Max Ray), that kind of thing. These days I focus primarily on Transformers (why not?) but I do have a (virtually) complete year 1 of Centurions (only missing a Doom Drone Traumatizer!)

I get the feeling thought that this year a significant chunk of change may go towards archery... although I seem to have all the bits I need for now. Having said that I do seem to be progressing well and frankly, it's great fun. And it technically counts as exercise! Ooofyah.

As to video games, I've played Tomb Raider for 24 years! And that's serious... the last 'version' I played was TR on my Android Phone and I've been playing the original in some shape or form ever since it came out. On PC? On N-Gage? The Crystal Dynamics remakes? Playing the Saturn version through again just because?

In fact, my Saturn has just been reinstated back into the mancave, simply because the PS1 was hardly getting any play time and I just bought a NTSC-JPN copy of Virtua Racing... Model 1 conversion! Never played that game before. Sigh. Low poly goodness.

Lastly but not least, @Maz is a menace with his pictures of Rhinoptimus Prime. I mean seriously? Give us some warning next time mate.

Yup, really! Pretty much straight after I last posted a reply saying I couldn't open a social media page without seeing broken hound posts I happened across a tweet from Peaugh showing his busted copy with the comment something along the lines of "Didn't even get him to robot mode" (it's possibly I'm omitting an F-bomb).
It's that bad that when I saw an FB Listing for a "Brand New Unopened Hound" my first thought was...
...and my second was, "If he hasn't already found it's bust and is trying to get shot of it then he must be daft!"
Offering it at RRP for someone else to take the chance with a Hound bought Peer-to-Peer without retailer aftercare? Bonkers!

Why can't Tesco sell WFC stuff? It might even make the place tolerable...

ION, Sony continue to make movie trailers that mean you don't even need to go to the cinema - a two minutes 55 seconds super-cut of Morbius is all you need! Thinking about watching Bloodshot? Well!... It KILLS ME that these are the clowns with the MOTU movie rights :mad

25 years ago on this day the Disney Illusion (know in Japan as I love (Mickey/Donald) series) came to an end with the release of Legend of Illusion on the Sega Game Gear.

Not exactly an end with a bang as this game is rather plain and dull (is that the same word ? Let me know) compare to the 7 ones that came before it but hey, that means it ends a series which got at least 7 marvellous game and that itself is worth of many praises.
Not a bad game mind you, just a really non exciting one (it really isn't Castle of Illusion or Quackshot), and that would be because, yeah, it was developped by a totaly different team. Prior to that 2 teams worked on the series: The 16 Bit team with Emirin, and the 8 bit one, with Takashi Shoji (who also made the wonderful Asterix and Alex Kidd in Shinobi World), this time Disney Software used another Sega's contracted compagny: Aspect.co.
They're not bad per say. But to put it in perspective: Yuzo Koshiro compagny: Ancient, made the first Sonic on MS/GG. Aspect made Sonic Chaos.
That's the very same level of difference you'll get with the first Illusion games and this one. Not bad, but uncreative and a bit dull.

Anyway the game was later port on MS in Brazil only in november 1998 by tectoy, as usual, and the series will get a little revival in 2013 with the Caste of Illusion remake, a very fine one I might say.

Little trivia, Legend of Illusion was, as usual, made in Japan but supervised from afar by Disney Interactive, a producer role of sort, and this time is credited as such a young man who debuted the year before by producing and actually composed the score for the Lion King games: Michael Giacchino.

You know, that guy who ten years later would make the best television musical piece ever.
