Here's some Est-Est for that long trek back to Kaer Morhen The Witcher III: Blood & Wine |Reviews Thread| Pour another goblet
One of my friends bought me the DLC for my birthday, but I'm not going to start playing it until I finish Uncharted 4 and my next review. Can't wait though!!
I myself am going to savor this as this DLC as much as I can, since its the last thing Witcher we'll have for a long time. Also the new menu setup for gear and items; really easy on the eyes.
Those endless hours of looting and looking for any and all treasure chests including the spoils of War & Hidden/Guarded Treasure in the base game and Hearts of Stone become really helpful really quickly in Blood and Wine. I sold off anything that wasn't mastercrafted Witcher gear , or armor/sword crafting materials. So when I did the renovations at my vineyard I had 150,000 Crowns at the time and made sure I had 198,000 Crowns on hand when I started having Grandmaster Witcher gear forged (That shit gets expensive "FAST")
I know right? When I got Hearts of Stone, all the hidden/guarded treasures in the Skellige ocean regenerated and spending as much time as a did the first time to find them all, I decided to leave. Thank god I did, cause today went from 10000 coins to like 35000+. Got 15 spots left and 300-400 florens/orens by the end of it to convert. I already have enough for the vineyard renovations and for the Mastercrafted Runewright Equipement for the Ofeiri gent at the Upper Mill. Hoping I SHOULD have enough to craft (craft not buy materials) my Manticore set. So then I can actually start playing Blood and Wine I haven't done anything in it besides the first quest and the manticore treasure hunt. I just want to give all the time as possible to actually use the Manticore armor.
For the right sword ye, it all comes down to if want your sword to be in top shape since a repaired sword does more damage.
I have this game and only played it for 15 minutes when I got it last year. I feel so bad cause I really wanna find time to play this game.
Necrobumping this thread. Anyone else playing on Switch? It was a bit of a rough start for me, but now I'm enjoying it. For the most part. I still haven't really gotten into the crafting or alchemy (beyond the basics) and I'm not sure that I will.
I was planning on getting it for switch but my dad bought me a ps4 gift card so ended up getting it on there. I don’t get much time to play as it does suit the short bursts I can manage while looking after a 2 month old, but I’m enjoying what I am playing, even if it keeps kicking my arse.
I tell you one thing I really appreciate about this game compared to say Skyrim is the restraint shown in the design of the caves/ruins etc. Skyrims thinking was always - "ok so we really only need 4 areas to get the quest/story for this area done. But lets go ahead and do about 15 just because". That busywork style of gameplay gets old quick. I much prefer the more streamlined gameplay in Witcher.
Any tips for getting the white gull recipe? I’m pretty much dead in the water alchemy wise without it
Gotta buy it from the Herbalist in White Orchard or Gremist the Druid in Skellige. But reminder that White Gull is located in your Alcohol section of Alchemy, its not in the Potion section.
mmm. Well I've checked with both of those characters and they weren't offering it. But maybe I already bought it and didn't notice since as you say I wasn't checking the Alcohol section. I'll look there. Thanks! Edit: yep. I had it. Feel dumb. Now I have to get a shitload of the ingredients needed to make it, since most of the potions I want in effect require 2 white gulls - one for the potion proper and one to make one of the ingredients.
