I'm feeling uncomfortably miffed. Context involves a bit of personal stuff I won't get into, but there was an opportunity to get in on a ride to the city (and the only Target for 50 miles in any direction) for some errands that would've taken a few hours, and a person in on that ride didn't want me to go on the trip.

Let me say that their reasoning is very sound, that I absolutely agree, and that I'm in no way entitled to the trip at all. It's their trip, they don't feel comfortable me being in on it, that's that.

But I'm miffed. I hate that I'm miffed. I feel like a dink for feeling miffed at a completely reasonable turndown. Like my deep brain is feeling slighted or something. It's not like that Target would've had what I was looking for anyway, but for some darn reason a piece of me if miffed enough regardless of the absolutely valid turndown.

...and now I'm miffed at being miffed. Miffception.

I’m miffed there’s no Target within 50 mile radius from you.

That feeling of being miffed... Don't sulk. Harness that feeling and use it as motivation to get your own form of transportation and you can go wherever you want, whenever you want... and when you do, rub it in their faces. "Learn to use the dark side of the Force!"

I actually had to look up what "Miffed" meant lol. Anyways I've learned to not depend on ppl and just get stuff done on your own. If it's a ride issue then Uber/Lyft it.

Sadly my midichlorian count is abysmal, and I'm not a protagonist so I may as well be a storm trooper. They have some killer dental coverage.

So what it is is I was hoping to look for ratbat and redboy since the Walmart in my town (and the only one for 40 miles) doesn't stock smalls, but that's just me being impatient, since I managed to snag a preorder on bbts before they sold out.

Just gotta jedi it up and have patience I guess. They do have some killer dismemberment coverage.

Winter is a stinky poopoo season and the only good things about it are Christmas and, on the rare occasion it actually happens here, snow, otherwise it's just cold and wet and dark and generally miserable.

I work at a register in the evenings. And I don't understand how people who are old enough to have kids, and some do have kids, don't understand how stores work?

    Example:
Lady with teenage child: "My son got this pencil sharpener for Christmas, he doesn't need it"
(normally pencil sharpener is about $15, it's fancy one that usually goes in a classroom)
Me: "Ok, do you have receipt or gift receipt?"
Lady: "No, can you tell me how much it is?"
I ring it up it comes up $15.
Lady: "Ok, I'd just like to return it"
I got through the return process and tell her she will get $5 on a giftcard, looks like it was on sale last week, so we can only give the $5.
Lady: "No! That can't be right, it was $15 you just told me"
    Me: "It's $15 today, yes"
Lady: "Can I speak with a manager"
I call the manager, manager tells her the same thing.
Lady: "My neighbor gave it to him, she said it was $15. We had a secret santa and everyone had to spend $15. I want my $15."
Me: "The register will only return it $5, there is no way to overwrite it"
Lady to manager: "Just open the draw and give me my $15 in cash then, I don't want the giftcard"
Me: "if he did that he would get arrested, that's called stealing. We can't just take whatever we want out of the register"
Lady grabs the pencil sharpener and storms out of the store.

AND SO MANY PEOPLE DO THIS. Claim no receipt, claim they didn't use a credit card to look up purchase, but want cash for the item. What store goes ok? how do people reach adulthood and don't know this shit?

    I sense a Karen nearby.

Everybody knows... Or SHOULD know how important a receipt is for returning or exchanging items from a store.

Yeah, I mean the only way you get away without getting a receipt is being okay with store credit... but these scammers are typically trying to get money for something.

I feel this on a personal level lol, "inherited" vast amounts of Beanie Babies from my parents/grandparents who thought they would be an "investment" for me in the future that I could also enjoy as a kid.

There was a lady who swore she bought an item at our store, it was a competitor brand. She cursed me out when I wouldn't give her any money because you know, it didn't ring up in our register.

@ILoveDinobot I use to work @ Best Buy and I dealt with that shit constantly!! Worst is when they Opened a DVD/Blu-ray and want their money back bc they didn't like it or whatever they say it's been opened and I can't refund you back, then they say it's not working/skips thinking they have one on me but then when they bring me back a new DVD/Blu-ray from the floor,I open it bc that's store policy and they get even more mad about that lol. Seriously retail sucks ass bc you deal with the dumbest idiots ever. I eventually left the returns Dept and worked in the back picking up online order. (Still sucked ass)

I worked cameras at Best Buy while in college, was the best retail job ever (I never did register though). Loved working at TRU too.

Lol the Camera Dept was my actual first position but the manager (cool guy) realize I didn't know shit about Cameras so I got moved to Returns/customer service then the backroom as they needed help. Also I always wanted to work TRU but for whatever reason they never hired me. Heard the graveyard shift was a blast to work bc everyone messes around, but get eventually get work done.

Ditto. Is it buyer's remorse for all those KO kicks?
