So what, it comes up through the hood?

    Er, yeah...just pops right through...

That would be a shame. The transformation is so much fun!

Cool. I think that's the first report of that particular box stamp. Curious what your figure stamp will be.

    *Sigh*

I genuinely hope the quality of this figure improves from a second run and everyone who paid hard earned money gets replacements that will hold up over time. I just went through this type of situation with an XTB product, but that's a 3rd party. You don't expect this type of thing from the guys out front leading the pack.

The figure stamp can only be seen when he's transformed, right?

That's right. Once you fold down the abdomen and legs you should be able to see it.

Man I so regret ordering my MP-47 so early. AJP is now trying to get rid of their upcoming stock for MP-45 by giving it a 60% discount.

I am guessing Hound will go through the same.

Still waaaaaaaayyy over-priced even with that much discounting.

    It should.

    What's funny is that it currently has a higher/better user-rating than MP-45 at amz-jp ...

Yeah, so here’s what I did: Put the bar code sheet “return ID” inside the return box next to the Hound box . Put the Japanese text address on the outside of the box and take it to your carrier (assuming it’s USPS). The two customs forms will NOT be accepted by USPS, they only use their own internal official forms. You’ll have to fill out one of those by hand but use the info from the customs sheet you printed out. Chose the option that gives you full tracking all the way to Japan and $200 insurance. That’s Priority mail, it runs about $78.

Call me crazy, but I just finished going through this thread to do a basic count of how many of our members have reported damaged/undamaged figures since our first in-hand notifications (I excluded paint issues and other cosmetic defects, as I was more interested in structural failures...)

Don't say I don't love you guys and gals... :p

    Now for the fun stuff!

    - 74 members reported material failures with their first/only copy
    - 8 of these members reported issues with their second copies (whether acquired as replacement, or as a duplicate during first order)

A total of 82 Hounds presenting structural issues.

The only unbroken figures I counted were those that were reported as having been transformed:

A total of 125 transformed Hounds with no reported issues (5 of these were replacement figures).

That's 207 Hounds in total - with approximately 60% (rounded up) of these being up to scratch - 40% (rounded up) not so much :p .

Now, I've probably wasted most of my Saturday with this (and this is by no means a perfect exercise), but I was really curious and thought it might be interesting to share.

Of course there may be many more out there who haven't bothered to share their experience, but there we have it.

Edit- Just checked my numbers again and had to make a couple of adjustments.

Wow very interesting. I just opened my replacement copy from AJP. Haven't transformed him as I've just returned from Disneyland. I'll get to him to tomorrow. I/we appreciate your efforts in doing this.
