Spreadsheet dude. I've got a list of all g1 toon figures split by season and the various manufacturers. At the end I put what I paid for each, so at least whoever has that job can at least have an idea of where to start when it comes to selling them.

Mine broke on first transformation on the passenger side door. Literally touched the panel applied hardly any force and this was the outcome. In demand toys in the uk wont return him as was damaged in transformation but have sourced a replacement part for me.

 

Transformed mine back to bot mode again and still no cracks. Hope I have time for another transform this weekend, keep putting him through his paces until the return window is closed. If he does break during that time I’ll probably just wait for a reissue, but obviously I hope that my copy remains intact.

Again, such a shame about this qc as I believe he’s the best carbot design. Minimal kibble, max articulation, super fun gimmicks/accessories, highly detailed and functional alt, unique color, intuitive transform... wish we could’ve all gotten solid copies!

 

Felt brave, watched Wotafa and transformed Hound back to a Jeep! Still no issues here! I did loosen that screw behind his head two full turns though as it was super ridiculously tight for no good reason.

This "in transformation" bullshit needs to stop with figures that have known problems. It's like saying the product you purchased was a cardboard box with a plastic figure inside, and not a figure meant to be transformed and displayed.

If the figure is defective and you can't see that, you of course would consider it okay to transform. It's not like you saw a crack and bent the panel or hinge to break it for shits and giggles.

The idea that using something that proves to be defective somehow absolves the retailer from any requirement is crap. They can just send the returns to TT and tell them their product is shit.

The natural conclusion otherwise is that TT can deliberately make shit stuff, ship it, and they and retailers take it in with no comeback. There are consumer rights for a reason, and this just smacks of trying to find a loophole to avoid having to deal with it.

It's bollocks.

 

just wondering, am i the only one that’s noticing a little interference with the thigh swivel where the higher point of the front upper thigh rubs against the front hip skirt when posing and splaying the legs out? it’s a little annoying bc id need to work around that using other joints

Yeah, I noticed and have a little rubbing there, but it’s not a big bother to me. The plastic underneath is pretty close in color to the thighs’ paint. Just have to remember to move those side skirts out of the way a little.

What shipping method are people using to send to back to Amazon.JP?

 

I used USPS priority mail, took about 4-5 to get there and got my refund yesterday. Once they receive the package they will refund you ¥2000 to your original payment method. You will need to email them afterwards with the total shipping cost and a copy of the receipt and they will refund the rest.

 

That's what I'm thinking. It seems like getting a replacement at the moment won't guarantee it being any better than before.

Yup, if the QC was right on this it would comfortably be the best MP carbot yet. Both modes look virtually flawless and the transformation (if you remove the fear of breakage from the equation) is fairly straightforward. Hopefully Takara learns some lessons from the mistakes with the production on this.
