So long story short I pulled my XB360 outta Storage and totally forgot I had a couple arcade games on the HDD. I remember having a SF2 Turbo,Super SF2 HD,The Simpsons,Ultimate MK, Puzzle Fighter and Finally TMNT the Arcade game but to my surprise and what I forgot was Sega's Virtual On. For anyone who doesn't know about Virtual On is a Dual Stick Mech Fighting/Shooting Simulator where it's you controlling a Mech. You pick between 8 Mechs/Bots and you fight other Mechs. My main Mech was Temjin and I use to destroy other players with my annoying tactics of tossing a Grenade and charging in with the Sword gun and it did tons damage especially the sword attack. Even I was annoyed of that tactic lol. The game is super cool and brought back Sooooo much Memories and Nostalgia especially in the arcades. It's funny bc I recently got reacquainted with Macross plus and now this game! Truly an awesome underrated game. A review of the arcade: A Playthrough,if interested Just search Virtual On on YouTube. I remember reading about Virtual On in a GamePro or EGM back in the 90s. Seemed like an interesting game but I could never make it out to suitable arcade to try it nor did I have a Saturn.
I have them on Saturn and Dreamcast. Very fun games but has many years since I've last played them. I'll try to see if I'll play them this weekend.
Great game! I also liked Bulk Slash, which I thought felt kinda like a cross between Virtual-On and Armored Core.
I've always wanted to get into Gundam bc I just love Japanese Mechs in general but I personally never can get hooked on the Anime/Series. Found it boring @ times and I was already dealing with DBZ's Goku Snake Way Road nonsense lol.
Oh man...I was in love with the Arcade game back in the day. Never had an opportunity to nab a Saturn, but Oratorio Tangram (wtf?) on Dreamcast was a must-buy. Anyone else end up springing for one of these?
Neither did I. Had I known those existed and had Virtual On for the system, I'd never gotten rid of it. One of my all time fave arena fighters.
For the longest time, I thought the game was Ontario Tangram. It didn't really make any more sense that way
