The new head is perfect.

 

His face looks aggressive.
I love this.

 

Got mine missile set from Showz. Put some labels on the missiles to help it closer resemble the original GI Joe ones.

1 out of my 3 small gripes of the figure is fixed. (others are super tight friction points on the gun and that you can't really store roller anywhere).

 

Not being able to store roller anywhere in either mode really sucks. He begs to be left in the box

 

I just stuck a Diaclone dude in it and put it on my Diaclone display.

 

It holds the gun for me right now. Tried so hard to find a spot on his back though

 

Yeah. There's really nothing. It's kind of annoying, but it pops up with Diaclone stuff, too. A lot of the main robots have support craft that are supposed to deliver parts and equipment to the front lines, so they don't actually stow, connect, or merge with the main robot when completed, meaning you have a lot of extra vehicles lying around. Seeing as this guy is semi Diaclone compatible, I suspect that this was what they were going for - the little car is supposed to be a gun delivery vehicle.

 

I store my Roller in robot mode by opening the canopy and using that as a tab to hold him into the center of the back. Not ideal, but it works fine. I agree he isn't necessary.

 

Got the head and missile upgrade from Uncle Billy on Friday. My version of General Optimus and Sgt Hound:

Truth be told, I never liked the divot in the original's faceplate, so I like that the new head has a smooth faceplate all around.





But yeah, its nice to finally have removable missiles on this guy instead of the fake molded ones.

It’s actually 2, both from Joe club Charbroil figures.

I like the practical camo look, but I do hope they go with something more "heroic" as a second option like before.

Finally joined the party with the missile and head kit for my camo Prime. I think the head looks pretty good. I'm happy with the upgrade.

 

Hey did anyone ever get the gun apart to insert into the back end of the missles?

 

The instructions were misleading with what it showed. It meant the missile could fit on the end of the rifle. Not that the rifle could separate. But instead of showing the entire rifle they only showed the muzzle
