The box is attached to the torso with a swivel joint. In the box is a ball joint where the head is attached.

He's got that: "Did I leave the stove on? I think I left the stove on." look.

It varies for me- sometimes its two days, sometimes its three. But if its the latter its always on USPS, not them. One thing I appreciate about Toy Dojo is they bend over backwards to make sure their orders go out the same day the stock comes in, unlike certain other retailers.

But heh, yeah, I was too excited for this, so I sprang for Fed Ex Overnight.

I have to say, the more pictures I see of Gravestone, the more I regret my purchase and wish I had just gone with Fans Toys. I hope I feel different once the figure is in my hands in a week or so, but if not, I will have an essentially brand new Gravestone up for sale.

Tough, though I understand this. I'm going with Gravestone, but FT's I really like, I even thought that if I don't like XTB's offering I'll get FTB's, display them in bot mode and call it a day. Out of interest, what don't you like about him?

I think all three have positive attributes. I don't think any of them have hit the nail on the head when it comes to how blocky the thighs should be. Overall, Gravestone appeases me the the most (thankfully).

For what it's worth, I got my Gravestone yesterday and he's pretty damn impressive in hand. The transformation is straight forward although some tight tolerances, but overall he looks mighty nice standing here on my desk. I also have Roadking and am pretty fond of both representations of the character.

Oh for sure, not blaming TD. Not even blaming USPS - they said thursday and it's thursday. I've been lucky and I just got spoiled by that luck.

The arm bots are not as good as the leg bots.

What are you talking about? He is also planning to have both, if not all 3.... He is saying it like he sees it. Same as he feels the DX9 Breakdown looks the best out of the 3.

He said Roadking takes the crown. Like this is a competition to get some award or prize. To which I was saying there’s elements to like about any of them. You’re preference is subjective so obviously no one is disputing that.

Yeah, this is my feelings with the limb bots as well, except for Crackup. If I could start over with the situation, I have no doubt I would go with Fans Toys and not pick up a single XTB bot, as harsh as that sounds. Every time I pick up the limb bots, I just don't want to do anything with them, just want to put them down, and think I could have spent the money elsewhere. I ended getting Gravestone to complete the set, because I was already four bots in, and because I felt Roadking was too tall for my liking. At this point, I would deal with the height concerns for overall better look and reported quality of the FT figures.

Same. Luckily the day is almost over.

Can't pull off a one knee pose but he can get closer than a lot of bots.
    IMG_20200109_130932~2.jpg

This pose doesn't work from any other angle but I think it looks pretty good here.
    IMG_20200109_131146~2.jpg

So I can confirm that his arms are a pearl white which is awesome - that color has a hard wired hack to my brain to make me like it whether it makes sense for the character or not (though I'd still prefer if Aegis had chrome). Love the articulated hands - the perfect compromise between those of us who prefer ball jointed knuckles with finger splay and those who can't stand them and want pinned. His face sculpt looks awesome (and I'm excited to get home and install his angry face). The backpack, well there's no getting around it: it's a big ol' backpack. I think it looks better in person than in photos but it's still quite a backpack.

@gaseous clay, how are the joints in general for Gravestone, vs Roadking. How is the the ab crunch stability, and overall? Any head tilt down like Roadking? How are the fingers (it is supposed to be the most articulated of all) in terms of stability? What are your overall impressions on it as compared to Roadking for built / stability / look / paint / heft / articulation?

@Snaku, can you pls confirm some of the questions from above that you can answer?

hmm, he does look much better in your pics, i am liking the face more now. Thanks for sharing. Happy to hear about the pearl white

Edit: I really love your last pic with what you did with the arms, damn, and show off the articulation well.

Can't comment on road King but I can tell you his fingers feel like they're just the right tightness. They won't move if you don't move them but they don't fight it when you try. His weapons peg securely into his hands but if they didn't, his fingers would have no trouble keeping them in place. His thumb is ball jointed and is almost too tight (which is a good thing in my book - better than being too loose).

Pics with the fingers splayed and with his head fully down, straight on, and fully up:

    IMG_20200109_132500~2.jpg
    IMG_20200109_132511~2.jpg

And here's his ab crunch. I've got his arms forward to put as much weight on it as possible. It can go to 90 degrees so this is it holding itself up through its own strength. It barely had enough strength for this though - doesn't take much of a nudge to make it move and once you go a little past 80 degrees it'll fall the rest of the way.

    IMG_20200109_132719~2.jpg

Thanks! As I said, that pose looks good from that angle and not from any other but I always appreciate the compliments on my posing and photography.
