Just speculating but it could have been a design decision based on however they plan to have Gravestone fold up into the Menasor body.

 

Crackup is the only XTB Stunticon member with the trademark old XTB/KFC derpy face. I'm glad at least none of the other members have it.

 

I’m not sure if it was mentioned but I have a few tips for transformation to keep it from any potential breakage
1) first step, follow 529s video to loosen op the foot wells, the instructions don’t do a good visual of what is suppose to release;
2) when flipping the back of the cab down toward the rear, use a spudger because mine was pegged in super tight where it folds into top of the cab on thin pieces of plastic;
3) when sliding the thighs up and out of the lower leg, go easy, it’s only attached by one side of the knee and the plastic flexes a lot and mine popped out of the track it was in;
4) rotating the head out and around has clearance issues,watch the 529 video, he shows it, but it’s still hard the first time. I had to flex it a little;
5) folding up the back into the chest can be difficult to align, watch the video, you have to make sure the two plastic stems clear the wheels properly.

good luck! It’s a really nicely painted and hefty motormaster. A little shorter than Fanstoys but I think the colors in hand are nicer.

 

I'm not really even sure what you mean by that. I've not really felt any need to swap out his face for any of the replacements that have been provided along the way.

Well, sooner or later we will all get our gravestone...I would be more than happy to let you get it before me.  

 

Unless mine was mistakenly assembled with one of the "corrected" faces already applied, then I can't say I've ever noticed anything odd about it.

I think it's less that it was flawed or corrected or that there was a problem with it, more that it's just a weird facial expression.
It's either Blue Steel or Magnum...

To their credit, XTB/KFC have done a better job with the faces over the last year. I think Crackup was the last figure to have it.

 

OK. Terrible movie by the way. Loved it. Who new gas could be so flammable.

My shipping updated and says Gravestone is on it’s way to Canada. Very exciting!

 

Havent been following this thread from the start so I missed it till now that the trailer/combiner parts are a separate item to order. I was starting to lean towards this set since its cheaper for the combined mode despite not being a big fan of the limb car bots robot modes. But this could end up a lot closer to DX9s price before its all said and done. Now im less sure what direction to go. lol

 

Okay, finally got all three in bot mode:

Its funny how Capone has the smallest bot mode but biggest gun, and Road King is the largest with the smallest gun. Also, because of MM's cab feet, no matter which version he looks best in a slanted A-stance.

Unfortunately, I have neither of the official MP Optimii to compare him to.

 

All 3 are good figures but I'd have to give the edge to Roadking.

Roadking has
-fully integrated trailer with minimal kibble in bot mode - impressive.
-fully articulated fingers/hands - a shame that Capone have this seeing as it is bigger than standard carbot size.
-all cab windows (windows and faux windows) as well as the purple parts on the leg below the thighs are all clear purple plastic and not just painted painted purple.

 

I don't know about Capone but Gravestone does have fully articulated hands.
