My favorite figure of 2019 is Studio Series SS-54 Voyager Movie 1 Megatron. I found my copy at a nearby Walmart on the 26th of December and I love it. It is very screen accurate for a mainline figure. The transformation is very smooth and clean and the articulation is very good. I love the intricate sculpting. It looks very menacing and threatening. 20191230_152426.jpg

finally a year where hasbro steppped up to the plate and didnt serve up flimsy floppy trash. siege was the ultimate breath of fresh air.

its hard to choose between siege omega and jetfire. they both do great things differently at different sizes. I think jetfire might edge omega out slightly if we figure in price point, but if the cash is no concern than either figure is a fantastic offering.

thank god we are out of the combiner wars trilogy era of flimsy cheap plastic at extorted price points. give us the good shit, we will pay for the quality.

Siege Jetfire and MP44 Convoy ver 3.0 were the standouts for me last year. It was a crazy amount of stellar transformers toys. Those two mentioned won it for me as those were my very first G1 toys I got as a kid now recreated to stunning effect. Here's to more of the same killer quality in 2020!

...everyone who didn't choose reflector is wrong, but there were plenty of honorable mentions this year...

I don't collect anything but Generations, so last year was the all-Siege show for me. It did give me a new favorite toy in all of my collection...

Siege Jetfire is my favorite of all. This is the toy that I wanted in 1985 when watching the G1 show. I love all of the extra accessories and weapons, and the option to make him look more like his G1 toy. I do think the third-party antennas for his head are a must if you are gonna display him with his mask on.

    My runner ups:

    Siege Omega Supreme
    [IMG]

    Siege Sixgun

    Siege Optimus Prime
    [IMG]

    Siege Ultra Magnus
    [IMG]

    Siege Shockwave
    [IMG]

    Siege Spinister
    [IMG]

    Siege Refraktor
    [IMG]

    Siege Astrotrain

    Siege Soundblaster

The whole Siege line has been a dream-come-true, but Jetfire is the dream come true figure. Ultra Magnus and Sideswipe are a close second and third. If Hasbro redoes Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime for WFC/Siege/ER with the same level of G1 homage love, then I'll pass out from nerdgasm overload.

I just have to say, as a lot of people have pointed out Siege was a great line. It’s an embarrassment of riches for a collector. I did buy Sideswipe, Ratchet, Sixgun, Hound, Springer, Brunt (for my son for his Trypticon), and Thundercracker. With the exception of Springer, I really enjoyed them all. And Springer has grown on me.

On top of that I ended up buying the 35th anniversary Siege Optimus based on what folks have said here. He was originally a hard pass as I bought SS38 and didn’t plan to double dip a G1 Optimus this year. But wow, he’s good too. I don’t buy as much as everyone here, but Siege got me to go in for more figures than I usually do.

I can't fully agree with you. I really liked some of the PotP figures, and nearly all of the Titans Return ones (AHEM AHEM OPTIMUS AHEM).

Do I spy some Robotech around here?

Stupid ass scalpers near me selling toys for their drugs of choice raided every Target and Walmart during the whole Siege line. I was only able to get Optimus Prime voyager, Cog, Brunt, Apeface and the first battlemasters.

I didn't get MP-44 and wasn't MP heavy this year so MP-44 didn't make my list. I collected SIEGE, some MP's and Studio Series last year with a variety spanning across the 3 lines. What made my list were the figures I was happiest with.

Part of the reason Jetfire made my list is because I really didn't expect it at all. I thought Hasbro's "close enough" figures were pretty much it for Jet/Skyfire.

To see something that straight up homages Skyfire from the cartoon without trying to make it something else, blew my mind.

My vote for top siege figure for me is most definitely Siege Skyfire (I refuse to call him jetfire since he looks nothing like him) He came out of the gate swinging outta fucking nowhere when he was first shown at the toyfare i think it was? But maaaaaaaaaaan I ate up every render, every photo, every video of him taken and obsessed over my Autobot Hero finally getting his just dues.

I've been waiting for a tried and true original official version of this big guy since "Fire in the Sky" aired. never cared for the fake Macross Skyfire. I only ever wanted the big russian Astronaut looking bot I saw on the show. (the same with siege omega supreme to be honest) Skyfire was the one Autobot I always wanted as a little 7 year old runt. He ignited not only my love for Space Jets, but also my love for Exploration and Outer Space as a whole.

Siege Jetfire is awesome. I generally am only interested in reissues (my collecing is purely nostalgia-based, bricks-be-damned) but I had to get this one.
My only complaint is that his intake vents are backwards when he turns into a jet in relation to the animation model. I guess they’re supposed to be exhaust.[IMG]

Great choices!! Blackout and Brawl are 2018 if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks @AndreyOfDoom I'm not 100% on exact dates.
Traveling a lot, these were my pick from Malaysia/Indonesia/Australia/German 2019 releases.

Was bitterly tempted to stuff in SIEGE Omega Spreem and Skyfire (whom are brilliant, bodes well for Scorponok, one of my holy Grails), but those are:
    1. Large, hence
    2. easier to engineer.

Astrotrain was a disappointment for me, to the tune of the undeniably handsome Springer toy; not too fun, plus he's small for his class and is embarrassingly a parts-former.

Am awaiting Snapdragon with baited breath.
    And ER Quintesson.

Small shoutout to Studio Series Scrapmetal. Not fig of the year but he deserves a bit of recognition.

SS Grimlock & Leader Blackout! also blew us away. As well as Bbee movie Prime.

Despite mine basically being a partsformer (for how easily his engine nacelles fall off during transformation), I have to give it to Siege Soundwave.

As his winning entry points out, he's basically got it all. Fantastic robot mode, a vehicle mode that can be ignored (but one I find incredibly charming), official lamp mode, and easy fan-modes for tapedeck mode. Plus the best mini-cassettes outside of MP (the Data Disks from FOC ranged from fun bricks [Ramhorn, Laserbeak mold] to articulated messes [Ravage] with the Frumblereject mold somewhere in between, and the Rewind mold was the only good one from the Titans Return line).

Other than the aforementioned partsformation (which could just be mine), the only flaw is not enough 5mm ports in vehicle mode.
