Yeah I figured as much but chances are if I wasn’t able to buy it at full back then I don’t think I can budget it in post holidays at the moment I’ll probably just wait for a reissue but whether I should wait for the fin funnel reissue is a different story...
Oh my God please don't be the little devil on my shoulder right now because I am really tempted but at the same time dropping almost 300 for something I'm gonna keep in the box eeeuuggghhh very hard to bite that bullet but that bullet is already in my mouth so...¯\_(ツ)_/¯
yea i was tempted too, but i figured if the metal build will get reissued (which i’m sure it will due to the amount of r&d and demand) then so too will the funnel set. i’d rather order both at once instead of getting the funnels and potentially never getting nu itself.
I'm honestly so torn on the Metal Structure it's a really beautiful piece but since it has limited articulation (I mean i understand why) I cant really mess around with it and the only thing i could really do is to just show it off and it would be just shown off as standing up straight on the little maintenance bay and depending on where i'd place it i'd probably be fighting with my display case when it comes to displaying the fin funnels the last thing i'd want to do is just display them in maintenance mode as well.
yea i was pretty disappointed to see how limited his legs are. definitely a showpiece first, and articulation as a second priority.
The thing is so big and heavy that I don't think its gonna be that fun doing action poses with. The figure alone is close to 2kg, not counting weapons, funnels, or the stand. It will be more of a work out on your hands posing and balancing that thing. Its just not meant to be treated like a normal figure you fiddle with often. The articulation already met my expectations, as I thought it would be closer to a statue with minimal joints. While articulation is not great, it has the basic range of movement covered.
It is a very solid figure! Big and heavy, has some playability. The figure itself is not worth the price though, definitely not worth the second hand market price. But the high price is driven by the limited supply, if you want this iconic Gundam in your collection, that’s the price you have to pay.
oh thank god i was THIS CLOSE ( || ) to buying it, and in all fairness no one knew snow white was coming to the west since it was a Japan exclusive so everyone and their mother tried their damndest to import and once they did; Bluefin: HEY WE'RE BRINGING IT OVER SURPRISE!! Bluefin: .... Bluefin: why arent you guys clapping?
In Tokyo for a bit. Went to the tamashii Nations "shop" and boy, the nu looks great with the funnels but yeah, a really nice statue
Sadly their special display below was all Star wars related (was hoping to see the giant armor for 00) but they did have this guy out, which looks great with that weapon.
I'm still waiting for my one - I can't wait for the Metal Structure! Looks extremely good with the funnels! wow!
I just picked up my first Metal build, the Blue Astray. I'm pretty impressed but it had me wondering about the quality of the Green and Gold KO Astray figures. Anyone have them? Are they worth the $100-$120 each?
If they're Metal Club/Muscle Bear/Metal Gear/whatever they're called today they're usually pretty solid in quality, build and paint wise.
