    Finally released!

    IMG_20200107_194004.jpg

Fuck, I wish the rotor blades would lock into place in bot mode. That's gonna bother me forever :(

Fixed it with a rubber band twisted twice around the rotor. Not nice, but it drove me mad seeing his rotor like that. Tried a hammer before, but that didn't work, the pin won't move. Should at least be 2mm deeper in.

And these two just arrived from TF Source...

What's best is they basically cost me nothing. I sold off almost all of my old third-party toys to TF source for credit and have used it on these and a few other items.

They do though? It isn't super tight but once you have everything tabbed in correctly those back blades hold their position just fine.

As I'll like to focus more on older TF figures for this year, I decided to start out my first TF purchase with this second-hand ROTF Armorhide which I purchased for only MYR 40 (Around USD 9.75) from a dedicated hobby thrift store. I always wanted to own at least one copy of this figure, but previous efforts prove to be very ineffective as the ones that I found previously were either missing pieces or went for extremely high aftermarket prices that I'm uncomfortable with.

This particular second-hand copy isn't flawless when I purchased it either, as the figure itself was quite dusty in certain places and there are some residues of some kind of metallic marker left on some places on the figure (Indicating that its former owner probably hand-painted some parts on this figure with some sort of metallic Sharpie pen or something similar without top-coating the paint), but this particular copy was in the best condition possible among the ones that I have founded and there are no missing parts at least, so I bought it.

It's not even worth it at that point. He's one of those figures that needs to be complete.

    That stinks.

I didn't read too far above your post, but it's designed to have the small fin come through the backpack and slide into a notch on the base on the rotor.

It BARELY works in my copy sometimes, but it works.

dollar tree finds! nothing major obviously, but I did buy the Megatron mini figure, and the Megatron, Prime, and Michelangelo keychains! don't know if anyone else has seen these yet or not; nor do I know if these are newsworthy or not to be honest, but here you go!

My blades spin freely too... but then again, I never knew about the notch?

Cheers, thanks for the accurate pic and description of what-does-what... I'll go check if that fixes it. :thumb

not quite a news story. the bag clips have been out for some time, and the mini figures were reported in December. I actually bought mine around new years. they are nice little additions to miniatures collection.

that's exactly what it is. a repaint.

No problem! It isn't a rock solid connection by any means but on mine at least it holds.

I've found that pressing on the bottom- most part of the backpack with force gets it a little more snug. Snug enough for the fin to nestle into that notch at least.
