Is Optimus Prime "worthy"?

He might be able to wield Mjolnir. Not sure about weilding the Mjolner.

Seriously though, I've never understood these cross-franchise fan fiction threads. We'll never be able to answer this unless we get another Marvel/Transformers crossover.

 

Does he really need too? It wouldn't be very big in his hand and Cybertronians are kind of immune to brain damage via electrical surges.

 

Without giving it too much, I'd say G1 would have a good chance. Movie-Verse (Bay) Prime, I would have to say no. "Give me your face" from ROTF, Prime hiding the Autobots while Chicago gets overrun, killing Kelsey Grammer may or may not make him unworthy, but once he became Nemesis Prime in TLK, I'd say no.

 

I'd certainly say so, especially considering that Captain America has wielded it on numerous occasions in the past.

 

I'd say Optimus Prime is more worthy than Thor.

 

If Beta ray Bill could why not Orion?

 

How would he fit into it? I mean, Master Chief is a big guy but he's not truck-sized.

I think he can in general, but he doesn't need to. He's not the Prime of hammers.

Ultra Magnus now, he's better suited to that question.

It's dumb enough whenever anyone outside of Bill and Thor wield it, but there's nothing about Optimus that would make him a Thor. That's what the worthy is, being Thor, not worthy, as in some sort of moral high ground.

 

I still don’t get this. Whenever someone mentions this, I don’t think they have any concept of time or space. The Autobots crashed in the Atlantic, off the coast of Florida, near Cape Canaveral. It would have taken quite some time to swim back to shore. Since they no longer had a ship, their only mode of transportation to Chicago was their own alt modes. Without traffic, that’s over 1200 miles. They weren’t hiding - they were driving their asses off to get there as soon as possible.

I'm not sure the hammer would consider Optimus as "alive". I don't think you can pick up Mjolnir with a machine, no matter how friendly and well-programmed it is.

 

Steve Rogers is basically human Optimus Prime. And we know he's worthy.

Other than being a cybernetic being that probably doesn't like that much electricity and Mjolnir being too small, I don't see why not.

I'd say Thor going full sadist with Thanos (and giving Thanos the chance to do the snap) is a lot worse than anything Bayformers Prime did. (Outside of the time he was brainwashed.) And decapitating an injured Thanos is no different from Optimus' execution of Megatron in DotM.

And 5 years later?

"I'm still worthy!"

I mean, really? Killing robot Lucifer would make him unworthy? Killing a human who was about to kill a good human would make him unworthy? Thor killing those Hydra goons in AoU didn't make him unworthy.....

Speaking of hammers, given that the movies already showed characters other than Thor being worthy, I think Optimus and other autobot leaders would definitely qualify.

 

It'd be a bit small for him but yeah.
