Not huge, but slightly bigger than when the tire isn’t in there.

I figured foot gaps were going to be a fact of hounds life. But the gas can mod posted earlier helped me eliminate the gap in one foot. Now I want two gapless feet, dammit!

Hmmm... looks like the tire is just a bit too wide, even if it's fully collapsed (make sure it's squeezed together and the "slider" parts aren't extended, if that makes sense). Seems like maybe sanding/trimming off the protruding details around the tire mount might allow the tire to press in further and give the right amount of clearance. I think I'd rather close the gap by leaving the tire out though and storing it in the canopy.

Replacement Hound finally shipped. Should be here Wednesday, but I'll be out of town until Saturday. Hopefully it's better than the first one I received. Anyone else have their order shipped from Amazon Japan? I know there was a hold up.

Sorry to trouble you, but what is the gas can mod? I’ve had a look back a few pages but couldn’t find it. :)

Anime Export wanted a photo of the issue my figure has so I thought I'd drop it in here as well. I'll admit I'm adding just the absolute tiniest bit of flex on the piece to make the crack more obvious but it's far less stress than is put on the piece through transformation (especially the getting the wheels in and out). This panel is all that connects the foot to the knee and so it takes a lot of the pressure. On the back of the panel you can see where the plastic is thinest and it's along this line that the crack started.

Now it's started though I'm watching through the transformation and no matter how hard I try to keep any and all stress away from this piece I see the crack worsening anyway. There's no way this will last.

I really am loath to send this figure back as everywhere else he's absolutely perfect... And I bloody well love the look of the thing... But I also want a figure I can transform like, well, every single other Transformer I own. :-(

Where are people having cracks? Backs of knees and the shoulder canon armature? Anywhere else?

Ahhhhhhhhaaaaa im so happy happy happy
My copy is good ! Aside from the crack that you can see here , the first transformation is very tight , tolerance on the leg is scary. So i wont likely transform him any more , he looks ace in robot mode! He really has advantage of not having any additional gimmick , especially when compare to sunstreaker. Which also explain why he is lighter than sunstreaker but about the same as datsun weight.
The matte color look really good. Like hella good.
Kinda bummed that when adding all the assets to his feet , the feet not closed firmly though. It does when remove everything on the feet.
So far no big cracks or anything yet but i will see if there is any crack when display and posing only.
Im so happy guys. I can let out a breath of relief now.

Post before yours - middle of the shin piece. Alas, a few people have reported this problem.

They might use brush size 0 or extra small then get small dose of glue on it

Sadly might be quicker to answer where isn't it breaking!

    Following this release I've seen...

    - at multiple joint locations on the head/shoulder cannon linkage
    - side 'door' panels, both front and rear hinges and the panel itself shattering in one instance
    - back of the knees
    - at multiple joint locations in the panels that make up the back of the jeep/bot lower legs and feet and a break across the middle of the shin panel

    :(
