I was wondering about that? Their domain was a .jp URL and I was told the name was a tualky pronounced “mah-kay toys” and was Japanese, but theirs no way a company like that would be able to operate out of Japan. I figured either one or Pre or the people behind it was Japanese but it operated out of China, or more likely, it was a calculated move to capture that Japanese anime/collector vibe.

Calculated move is more like it. .jp is meaningless.

Here's a number of seemingly Japanese companies but are not:
    1. MiniSo. Chinese company.
    2. Superdry. British company.
    3. There are others.

Let's just say, they are in the business of capturing the premium that's often related to Japanese products.

Would it be ironic if MT's last product was the one named Endgame?

Well pardon me. It’s a .jp and their box art is littered with hirigana and katakana.

Hopefully they are able to remain in business. I'd like to get all 3 coneheads and was hoping for a reissue of their Skywarp and Thundercracker since they already have the molds to reuse.

I'll say I believe there is no chance of that but for the first time I am having some doubt about Grandmein and Wiseblast. This smells to me like Fansproject all over again.

Although I have Endgame coming, I have to say I am not that excited.

iBot had a conversation with someone on here and I cannot find it. KFC has been delayed because the main designer is out of the picture or taking a break. Zyros, a TFW member here, designed Deathsaurus and a perhaps a few other things but I have no further picture of their design team. Apparently iBot has had to replace the team so that is why the Junkions, Buster/Hydra and others have been delayed. This may have also impacted God Ginrai.

Tbh, they were only mediocre to begin with. Over simplified, cut-cost designs missing important articulation in the head and hands, the most expressive parts of a figure.

I find it extremely hard to believe any reason for delaying the Junkions beyond a purposeful choice to reduce their priority against other figures on the roadmap. The design work was done ages ago and they are basically rehashes of existing products.

I did too but there was some report that there were additional changes done to them as well. We saw the prototypes ages ago so like you I never understood or bought the reason for their delay. I believe a lot of the decision making has been resolving the backlog at XTB rather than worrying about creating one at KFC. 2017 was so promising and the last 2 years is just a step backwards with still a huge backlog. They put out a ridiculous amount of reissues/repaints last year so I want to see some damn new figures

TFSource just got my Endgame in, so I should have that in a few days. I've been holding out on having them ship Goose and the MT Headmasters to save on shipping, and I was starting to get impatient. Hooray!

Same here, just got my shipping notice from TFsource. Flipping finally, it seems like I sold my Yes Model Coneheads ages ago.
