man they need to splay the fingers out in more shots, helps it look a lot less like a tfc chug figure.

 

Just enough "little things" that add up to make him look a lot less cool/cohesive than he did.

 

I liked the earlier face paint. Now his head looks a bit off. Like its head is smaller than needed. Is that just me?

 

Yeah, the head could be bigger, maybe there are transformation restrictions that prohibit a larger head.

 

Most of the sculpt is there, excusing tweaking to make it work in three dimensions. It would've been nice if the tiger head flattened into the chest, but there's probably nowhere for it to go. Also, I don't know if they disabled it, but I thought the feet could be turned around. Ergo, that leaves tearing into the color choices and paints.

They made orange more prominent instead of an accent color and used a lot of red-orange right next to red in the legs, chest, and skirt. Instead of breaking things up, it causes the same visual bleeding together that happened to MMC Hot Rod. I have no idea why they changed the face so eyes blend with the skin. Some of this might only be an issue in pictures, but I'd still love to know what motivates changes when they had a color scheme laid out.

 

So I'm not imagining it. Thank god! I think the head blends in too well. Maybe it'll look better in hand of the customer. Hope this won't be a consistent problem across the combiner

 

And they had a GOOD scheme laid out---I can't find a single area where I think a change they made was for the better. Every change they made, made the figure's coloring worse overall.

It's like it was "changed for the sake of change". Why else would you make so many small changes, to end up with basically the same thing? (But worse in every way)

 

It would be great if they could improve upon the sculpt and colors as suggested, but this pic is what has my preorder down and waiting impatiently for release:

Yeah that arm looks legit. Still want to see actual pics of the finished gestalt before I dive in though.

Yeah, the changes have it looking like a power ranger! But....

Yep, that arm stopped me from canceling as wel .

 

Maybe some diy line work can make the figure look more like the renders.

 

Shouldn't dis the monkey pants. Have you ever wore a pair, they might be comfortable and look great also. Just sayin'.

Looking forward to seeing monkey pants in action. In the meantime, really hoping razorclaw leans more toward the "genesis" family of Liger.
