I am so disappointed about the Smokescreen leak for Earthrise.

I love the Siege mould and I literally got my Smokescreen figure yesterday. I guess Im worried that I'll like the new version more but don't want to invest in all new Datsun Bros. Sigh.

Anyway, did a bit of custom work on Ol 'Screen cos apparently thats who I am now.

Is there a clear winner among the Datsun mold figures for best QC? Like, hardest plastic, best joints, etc. I am continually tempted to buy Bluestreak but his grey door panels just look like such soft marbled plastic.

    Hey
I'd recommend some lights and lighting diffusers to soften the lighting. I use a cheap "photo studio box" that you can buy off amazon, with some lamps. The diffusers can also be duplicated fairly well with some cardboard and tracing paper. It's not professional-grade, but the end result looks amazing after some fixes in post. Here's a quickie shot of my amateur set-up:

I honestly gave up hope getting this guy, for the last 6 months I've racked my brains on how to get the funds together to afford him. Would of taken 4 months to save up or I could of sold 20 of my other transformers and a months savings on top. Luckily or unluckily perhaps someone drove into our car causing us get a decent amount of money from there insurance plus keep our car so when I asked my wife if I could buy him and she said yes I quickly bought him before she changed her mind lol.
Still in shock I now actually have hi, pretty the biggest and most expensive transformer I will ever buy or own but I wouldn't change him for the world. Wife is like you will get him off the dinning room table tommorow wont you.... 20200103_172009.jpg 20200103_180532.jpg 20200103_182739.jpg 20200103_183039.jpg 20200103_181525.jpg 20200103_183047.jpg 20200103_191603.jpg 20200103_191617.jpg 20200103_191628.jpg 20200103_192658.jpg

I apologise for non siege figures these are the guys I'll be displaying him with to go with my g1 80s look. I think hes fantastic and worth every penny, solidly built, articulation in all the places that matter to me and scales perfectly for what I want.
And now for a marvel comics homage Megatron bits off more than he can chew. Love you can do this. 20200103_202527.jpg

Gears was practicing his first skydive, the rest of the Autobots eagerly awaited his landing to congratulate him 20200103_182355.jpg He should of landed by now? 20200103_182413.jpg No sign of him here Prime 20200103_182427.jpg
Nothing yet Huffer you seen him? 20200103_182441.jpg
I think he must of over shot the marker. 20200103_182502.jpg (Very hi pitched) I'm up here please ask Omega to get me down guys?

Thanks cant decide which one I prefer unlike the non face plate one for the Orion look but never keep it on long, I like the classic head but this one seems to work the best for me.

Yes, I insist you buy one of the Chromia's that has been sitting at my local Walmart for like 9 months...this old inventory and 35th leftovers must go if I am ever to see Barricade, Spinister and Crosshairs.
Pick up a few of the 35th Voyagers while you're at it so maybe they'll get Apeface.

I am curious...for those of you who collect the entire line, how many of you plan to get Smashdown and Astrotrain in both Siege and Earthrise packaging?

So, I checked and I was wrong, Moonracer/Firestar's head has the same connection as Lancer so it just took some wiggling and tilting it at the right angle.
Unfortunately, Lancer's collar is too high and Jazz's head just slightly too wide meaning that while you can wrestle his head onto the peg the head can't then turn, meaning my only options are to sand down the sides of the Jazz head a bit or do something to the collar. If I were to do any alteration I'm inclined to say I'd go with modding Jazz's head but I've never done anything like that before.

To anyone else who has taken apart Ultra Magnus’ waist, is the ratchet-nub supposed to look like this or is it supposed to be squared?
    image.jpg
I suspect this might be why my copy has weak hips.

No issues with waist joint. Solid. It has an added piece for the fold up and in front wheels that is attached by a clip. Didn't know or hear of siege op having a waist issue .

This. I grabbed mine on some Aliexpress sale, as usual. Strangely, he arrived before a larger pile of stuff I ordered earlier, on 29/11...
It must be something with these smaller packages being delivered faster. :p
