This Bumblebee looks better than I initially thought he would.

I'm still more interested in the Transcraft one, but I'll be paying more attention to this guy as well.

 

Ahhh. Why aren't the sides of the abdomen painted yellow? Otherwise it looks amazing!

 

The proportions and that battle mask.....

 

Honestly looks more like a gimmick figure than an MP figure. There's a lot of pointless lights in it, a half-assed mask, and pistons in the knees for some reason. I mean if you like it go for it, but this figure just can't compare to its competition to me.

Im glad they were able to change it from the digi picture I sent them and the feedback here, I wasnt sure if it was too late....happy to see it wasnt.

 

I like this a lot. I hope changes relate to the first batch as well.

 

But the fingers still black or dark grey without paint...

 

I love that bot mode. I love the paint. And, the lights are neat as well, although I would probably never use them. But, that car mode is a dealbreaker. Those panel gaps and lines just kill it for me. And the transformation looks un-fun to boot.

 

Hm....not a musthave anymore... TC one looks more interesting to me. Scale in bot and car mode, panels in car mode are unsightly... not sure about the transformation yet, but doesn't look any worse than the official one. Don't care for the light up features, those kind of things are fun for one time and then to never be used again.

 

I thought it would be around 90 or like 120 dollars but that price point yikes this costs more than the threea deluxe bumblebee

 

the biggest (the only?) problem of this Bumblebee is that he'll always be compared to action figure from 3A

 

Well that and being compared to the other 2 being released by TE and Transcraft as well as the movie model itself.

Well that’s a given because it doesn’t transform and they are also given the models by Hasbro. The other two actually transform and aren’t given the model, so comparisons with them are more fair.

 

Few years ago, in a situation like this I'd buy this Bumblebee right away. Yes, I'd compare it to CG model and 3A action figure, but back then it seemed impossible to make a transforming figure to look just like it was showed in a movie.
Since UT Peru Kill release there are quite a number of figures with quite insane transformation and exact movie/animation like look (UT Dragoon for example), so now I feel like this Bumblebee is too far from what it could and can be. It's bot mode is just not enough today. For me, at least

On the other hand, few years ago I'd buy 3A Optimus in a moment, cause I'd never expect a transformer of similar look/style/quality etc. Today, we are waiting for Freedom Leader and two other guys and I'm not really sure that 3A Optimus among them will look as fantastic as it would few years ago.

The standarts and demands for transforming figures are higher and higher and this might be a big problem for some companies

 

Woah, the backpack is too chunky. I'm think I'll gonna pass, not worth it for 105$.

 

It's still for 104$ on ShowZ as far as I can see. And even less if you have a premmy account.
