Yeah I agree. He is a crown jewel of my MP collection. So much more stable than the Fanstoys version (Ultima Guard) that I sold off a year ago and honestly better in nearly every other measurable attribute.

Been watching youtube video reviews of all the available Omegas to see what I'm missing and I still think this is the best option for me. I do kind of envy that Wei Jiang voice chip though. The transformation is my favorite part of the Dx9 as it minimizes the parts forming the best it can. You could probably argue that the Siege version does that too, and I am really impressed with the rocket transformation there, but the base mode looks kind of lazy although still pretty standard for a mainline figure. I had considered waiting for the Siege to be discounted to eventually replace my YotS G1 Energon Omega with Maketoys upgrade. Glad the Dx9 sale happened so that option was pushed off the table.

And I just transformed him again. There's only two negatives I am experiencing with the Dx9. First, I currently have him as a floor bot and my cat is rubbing her face on him whenever she walks in. Hey, stop that! Second, I have the UW Devastator with upgrades as my MP Devastator(not in love with the other options), and as much as I like it, it really doesn't work as a companion piece to the Dx9.

 

Ordered this on Tuesday, still says processing. WTF?

 

are your hips ratcheting correctly. if they are too tight he might not be getting all the clicks and therefore he could be off balanced.

im not saying you should take him apart. but if that is something that is happening i would suggest that.

mine was great out of the box but whenever i took him apart and greased his hips he almost became a new bot.

 

Has anybody stickered him up with the decals provided?

Hips seem fine. Might be that he just doesn't balance that well on a carpeted floor. Hopefully later this month I'll be buying a new display case that will have room for Omega and then I'll see if he's more stable on a solid surface. Doesn't really matter that much, though - I was never going to leave him standing at attention and he seems to do okay in the action pose I put him in, even on carpet.

 

Same. Ordered on Thursday then it went Out of Stock shortly after. The Still Processing worries me... Hoping they didn't run out before filling the orders.

 

I got my tracking info like 8 days before it actually seemed to get shipped, I think they just move slow at BBTS, I wouldnt worry about it though.

yeah BBTS is known for that BS they do. i dont know much about other seller's here in the states. but i do know they are hot garbage when it comes to getting their orders processed.

 

That's good to know. I usually use tfsource for my US orders. They are super fast.

 

BBTS is notorious for not getting their orders shipped in a timely manner. I was shocked I got my Gabriel so fast. From being charged, to having in hand was only 4 days.

We will see how my latest purchase goes. I had to go through them again to get my last Zeta Kronos fig because they were the last store to have Catapult in stock.

They are usually my last option when I need something. TFSource and Toy Dojo are always super fast.

 

I’ve loved this figure since it first released and comments from all his new owners inspired me to transform him again.

Man that was fun! I just love the “masterpiece moments” with how his lower legs and feet transform and how solid he feels! I also discovered that MP-18+’s blast effects fit (loosely) into his secondary tank weapons.

 

Well, on a completely different circuit than what everyone else has experienced, I had ordered mine and left in it POL until after Christmas, requested send last weekend, received a 'shipping notification' on the 31st, originally stated estimated arrival date would be 1/8, a day later saw it change to 1/7....and it's been delivered just now. Had it sent to family since I figured it would be coming while I was at work, and I really didn't want a big box like that hanging outside the front of my house.

I got to see this guy in person when a friend brought him over during one of our meet-ups. Be picking it up today knowing I'll be enjoying the hell out of it just from that one experience.

 

Had the last few days to mess with this bot. Alot of the panels have loosened up. Except for the doors on the rocket, still have to use a tool to open them. Man, are they tight, may loosen more over time.
I seem to have the same problem with the cannon arm like some others had. Light won't work. Not really worried about it. Won't be using it much if at all. The claw arm light works fine.
All in all I like him. 7/10
The only major issue I have is his base mode takes up a lot of realstate. lol

Has anyone with this issue tried to swap batteries to see if maybe the part was packaged with it turned on? Maybe the batteries are dead.

That is a cheaper price then all of us who just got him paid. I still can't believe I got him for such a steal.
